The only way I see her attracting a lot of attention here is if many people care about Dreamgirls. Almost nothing was ever shown or mentioned about Syesha this year, and she didn't even perform on the show this year. Also, I don't get the chop at all. PS: Dave, I'm starting to get "Validation Error" when posting on the front page's articles.

Syesha outlasting Planty, the Aussie Douche and Doobie Castro was the highlight of that season of AI. I'm all for her continuing to do far better than any of them as well. Go Syesha!!

Yay! for Syesha!!! I'm a AIS7 fan and a VFTW fan as well that's why I'm happy for AIS7 contestants... sometimes I even like it when you guys make fun of them... sometimes though

That wasn't a very good compliment, I mean, I'm doing 100 times better than Carly Congrats to her though! I didn't watch Season 7 so I don't hate her yet, so good for her

YAY.... I'm so happy for Syesha. She is so hot and so talented. Don't know about anyone else, but she sure made me more anxious about getting tickets to the show. The judges made such a huge fuss about her being a 'broadway' star, almost type casting her. I'm sure there are many people who wants to go and see her perform.

Syesha is OK by me. She wasn't the most exciting personality, but she was always pleasant, looked gorgeous and sung well, which is more than you could say for some of the other idols. We saw her on the Top 10 tour last year in Newark and she was great live. Dreamgirls sounds like a good choice for her.

Wow!! We learn something new every day. Who knew that Syesha had tards? This thread proves it, as we have a couple of them right here. You say that Syesha displayed nothing during AI. I disagree adamently. Syesha showed two things very well during AI, her left boob and her right boob, and that's all that matters.

Syesha Mercado, who displayed no personality and nothing original whatsoever during her time on American Idol season 7, is set to be completely unoriginal again by landing a role in the National tour of Dreamgirls. So now she just wants to be Jennifer Hudson? There's no way Syesha will be noticed anywhere near as much as the Boomie, though. Also, it's fitting that Syesha will play the role of a pretty but not very talented singer who becomes famous based purely on looks and nothing else. But hey, congrats, Syesha. You're definitely doing 100 times better than Carly Smithson.
