The only way this will work is if they get some professional models who can actually carry a note. The reality is that those who can carry a note who ARE attractive are either A) Signed already, or B) were signed and flamed out, leaving the business. They are only going to get the people that are OK looking, but not knockout looking. So, if they are going to get a woman, it will be the 20yo Susan Boyle variety: fugly who can carry a note.

It makes sense, but I don't like how they do these shennanigans every year. They make a fuckin idea that every person can become an American Idol. Well last year they only had like 5 girls in the top 13. American Idol is even more of a sham than I thought, trying to choose the gender of who will win. It's funny. Years ago I even wanted to try out for American Idol, but now I just want to laugh in it's face.

the ONLY reason i watch the show is for the guys. Like: Blake Lewis, David Cook, and Adam Lambert. I don't really watch for the girls. So, if they end up making it like a girl only type season the ratings will go SO far down. SERIOUSLY, GOD! But i mean it really doesn't matter though if you can have a GREAT girl singer win like Kelly Clarkson to a guy who can't sing and win AKA K*** A****. I mean than whatever. But take the guys out you lose viewers in my opion.

no matter how we vote the winner of this years american idol is going to be a female, weather we like it or not. however if stuff like this keeps slipping out they might just put a female in the finale to make it seem like its fair and to try and convince people they didn't rig the votes. and also, i think plenty of males watch the show, they just don't get into it and vote twenty million times like females do.
