Well yeah, that makes sense. But I didn't think of it. I just saw a broken record and automatically assumed it was Kara ;-)

The cartoons and the rant are hillarious! Seacrest as a cartoon should be like a teenie weenie or something like that :p I've got a rant of my own - Seacrest signing a 3 year contract for $15 mil a year is just one example of why I feel the need to be a worster and stick it to TPTB on an as-needed basis. Which during the season, seems to be at least once a week. I used to think he was a pretty good host, but nowhere NEAR that good. There's got to be a gazillion people who could fill his shoes and probably do a better job of it. Bruce Gowers must negotiate at the bargaining table the way he keeps time - I can't think of how else that contract would have come to be. If they had kept Seacrest's salary at $5 mil a year, which is already WAY more than he probably deserves, with the extra whopping $30mil, 19 could have provided million dollar record contracts to each of the top 10 contestants over each of the next three years. The show could have forever changed the lives of 30 families - instead, it all goes to Seacrest, who likes to blow his wad (of cash) on skeevy British strippers and whatnot. Such a waste!

AI Now, is having a LIVE chat about Paula Abdul's Contract on Wednesday. They are sending tweets to A BUNCH of former Idol Contestants. Like Matt Giraud, Annop, Scott, Chris Daughtry, EVEN the "Plant" Carly Smithson. NO Megan!!! Why?? Megan will bring in a crowd... Anyways, nobody will go on there and chat because no one cares about Abdul leaving, people that are believing it are so SLOW!

I tend to think AI is like most other 'ensemble' casts, with the key to success of the show being the format rather than the irreplaceability of the personalities. Like The View, which has gone on without Meredith Viera, Lisa Ling, Star Jones, Rosie O'Donnell. Or ER, which survived without virtually all of the original cast. Or Law &; Order. Conversely, some reality shows became or continued to be big hits, even though part of the cast was mediocre - Samantha Harris on Dancing With the Stars is TERRIBLE. Brandy was boring on America's Got Talent. And then there's Kara - omg! All that money AI generates! Too bad they don't invest more money in representing all of the top 10 to try their best to find them gigs after AI, even if it's hooking them up with auditions for Broadway shows (caw caw would be fantastic as Sandy in Grease), or getting them gigs as back-up singers (Lil), or piano accompanists (Matt), song-writers (Sarver), even actors (Anoop). Yeah it does kind of come across as self-indulgent to see the judges all whining about millions rather than just being thankful they've got a job in the industry.

Now we learn that Paula is demanding twenty million dollars to return. Just who does she think she is? A state university football coach?

$20mil?!? Paula = Kobe? During the season, Kobe works about 15 hours a week; Paula only works 2. Paula > Kobe - hells to the no!
