America's Got Talent Exposed for Rigging the Contest

America's Got Talent, another crapfest produced by the same company that makes American Idol (Fremantle), was exposed tonight in a major way. VFTW reader Steve tells us:

"One of the acts in the semi-finals is Arcadian Broad, a dancer around 12 years old I believe.  His act tonight was a dance act based around High School Musical, he was dressed in a Wildcat's Jersey dancing around.  Piers Morgan said he wasn't good enough to get into the finals.  Arcadian responded saying "I didn't want to do a High School Musical scene, the producers gave me this hand and..." and he was promptly cut off by Piers.  When Nick Cannon came back out to give his numbers, he went off saying "Well, of course the acts get the decision of the acts they preform..." Seems like we got a situation on our hands here!"

Just more proof that any show Fremantle produces isn't on the up and up. It's not a talent competition, it's reality TV, folks.

Edited To Add: Rickey.org has the video.

Edited to Add More: Arcadian's claim was edited out of the replay of the show last night. Looks like the producers aren't too happy. Because they're idiots.

And then Kevin Skinner choked big time and Piers gave him a standing ovation. He was terrible, mostly flat or just hunting around aimlessly for the right pitch most of the song. It was crap and they all acted like it was Willie Nelson himself.

I'd be pissed off too if they made me do High School Musical

Skinner is the single "worst &; most pimped" contestant in the history of all talent shows. Period.

A 12 year old Kid doesn't care about contracts or Lawlers, good for him calling bullshit on their shenanigans. I'm betting he's the last kid that makes it to the semis, though.

SAW IT!!!! Glad you had it up already. The kid's a mediocre dancer, but he's got balls the size of watermelons for TELLING THE @#%@# TRUTH!!!

Just like I-Dull - its a rigged "Reality Show", and hats off to the kid for being honest - don't bust me for the act I just performed, THE PRODUCERS DEALT ME THIS HAND! i.e., the theme was "suggested" to him (ahem, ahem).

He has about ZERO chance of advancing any further on this reality show, but at least he has something NO Idull finalast still has -

HIS SELF RESPECT and INTEGRITY!

Fuck yeah!!! I always thought Arcadian was awesome, and this just proved it. He garnered lots of votes last night, but that probably doesn't matter. They can fix the results just like on another show that I know about.

Ok, looking at the realm of professional dancers, Arcadian might be mediocre, but he is exceptional for his age. He'll be downright scary by the time he's an adult.

I like that kid. I hope he gets to move on, but I'm doubting it.

And yeah, I don't know what the hell Piers was hearing from that country dude. Damn, Sarver sang better than him. He was off key during half the song.

Oh, well, if they have any integrity at all, and we have enough Disney age pre-teen girls voting, Arcadian just might survive. I can only hope.

Too bad this kid will get booted regardless of how many votes he gets. What a fucking rip-off.

Of course Arcadian was allowed to tell the producers "no," but we all know that if he did he'd end up dancing to music playing from a boom box built in 1987 and he'd also have to bribe a stagehand to turn the lights on.

This created too much of a shitstorm. Too many people know that Fremantle is full of it. He will go through, but get hammered in the next round. That said, Arcadian would need two planes for him: One for him, the other for his balls.
