Ah yes, I remember Jim. The original sob story with his deaf parents (whom he mentioned constantly) getting him sympathy votes and into the Top 10. I guess part of the problem with deaf parents is that they can't tell you how terrible you sound. Although actually, in the years since his season, he's started to seem pretty all right to me. I remember a couple interviews (which are probably the only interviews he's had in all that time) in which he was very critical of "Idol" and all the closeted contestants. But anyway, congratulations Jim and old guy.

The internet is buzzing that Jim Verraros married his boyfriend Bill Brennan in Illinois. People Magazine even did an online feature on it. We're surprised that people seem to remember who Jim is (9th place finisher on American Idol season 1). What's not being reported anywhere is that Jim's boyfriend is 43 years old, while Jim is 26. Sure, it happens all the time, but still, it's kind of creepy. But hey, if Katharine McPhee can stick with her cradle robber, we guess Jim can too.
