Ever since the Idol tour ended, Michael Sarver's lonely Twitter updates have gotten even sadder. Some highlights:

Apparently he's finally come to the realization that he is not going to have a music career. We could've told him that. Well, if you want to cheer the poor guy up, he'll be doing a live chat with AI Now this Thursday at 4 PM Eastern. We can't make fun of the guy if he's dead, so give him a little bit of encouragement if you can.

Awww, poor Michael. I like the guy, he is sweet and cute and hard working. With the money he made in the tour he could still record a decent country album (would cost him about 20.000) and shop it around in Nashville.

I also like Michael. He always seemed to be genuine and upfront with his agenda--excited to be on the tour, and always caring about his wife and kids. He probably isn't going to sell milions with his songs, but if he plays it right, I could imagine him carving out a reasonable living as a singer. Country, rather than R and B... He needs to be realistic about how far he can go and max the exposure he's got from the Top 10 Tour in the right way. Good luck, Michael. And maybe be a bit more careful with how much you Twitter.

Poor guy. I never quite liked his performances, but it's times like these when the old adage "Don't hate the player, hate the game." really makes sense.
