Plus, it's also a symbol used both by Hindi and Buddhists. Here It seems to be included among other "good luck" charms, including the number 7 (it's a chinese/budhist good luck symbol) for what it's worth.

I know people will come here and say it's a Hindu character. But the swastika on Adam's jacket is turned on its side. That is the Nazi symbol. You can see what the Hindu swastika looks like on Wikipedia. All the lines are straight: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/63/HinduSwastika.svg When it is turned on its side in Nazi symbolism in diagonal lines: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9c/Nazi_Swastika.svg Either Adam is a Nazi sympathizer (or thinks wearing Nazi symbolism makes him look edgy - wait, didn't Bowie do that decades ago? How very unique of him) or he's stupid as hell to not even look at his scribbled-on jacket before he wears it. How often did he wear that thing? And he never once looked at it?? What an idiot.
