Blake Lewis's "Heartbreak on Vinyl" is a Heartbreak in Record Sales Too

Well, this was obvious. Blake Lewis's comeback CD, Heartbreak on Vinyl, debuted at #135 on the Billboard Hot 100, selling a sad 4000 copies its first week out. Does that even begin to recoup recording costs? His last album, Audio Day Dream, sold over 24 times that amount in its opening week. Wow, that's pretty sad. (Via Rickey.org)

Hmmm, I seem to remember, back in the day, a whole slew of tards telling me Blake was going to change the face of music as the world knows it. Wonder whatever happened to that?

4000 copies? This still makes Blake 13.3 times more successful than Carly Smithson.

Also, 4000 copies really get you #135 on Billboard? Wow. I thought there was enough commercially successful music to fill the top 200 or so. Apparently not.
