I have always felt Gokey was the most annoying of the final 10 on AI8. Did not like the way he pimped his dead wife during the competition and for the nay sayers--yes he did and his family helped. Right after one of his performances, a cousin held up a picture of the dead wife and the cameral did a close up. Remember the glasses he was going to promote. I ask you how could someone that looks so awful in glasses think he could do promotions for that.

The other thing was that during the interviews he would go on and on just blathering. He is such a bore. But, the main issue I have with him is that he specifically said he did not want to go to country music (I guess he thought he would be a pop star)so, when no one offered a contract but country music that is the way he went. As if, country music fans would not remember how he put down that music. So funny. Gokey is a major boring idiot.
