Well if they did do a remake of the movie "Jesus Christ Superstar" I think he'd make a great Judas.

But maybe King Herod's role would be even better:

Oops! I did put Anne Frank instead of Lisa Frank. Freudian slip... I guess I must have still been thinking about how Adam is an idiot for wearing swastikas on his clothing.

Or could it be because he's Jewish?

I would imagine that the people here on VFTW are predisposed to hate everything, but I have to tell you, I'm really digging Adam's album. After listening to it several times online, some of the songs really stick with me, particularly "Fever" "Soaked" and "Music Again." I don't think Adam has to worry about being a Trivial Pursuit question. This album as more potential than most post-IDOL releases.

Say what you will, but Adam will most likely have the last laugh. His fans will go nuts for this.

Hey we're not ALL nuts! :-)

I just finished listening to it. I thought it was ok... there were 1 or 2 songs that I really liked. I enjoyed Aftermath. And I actually thought "Soaked" was kind of cool, mostly because of the background music. And I'm a broadway fanatic, so I tend to like that style. Much of the cd is pretty dancible, so I could see it being played in clubs. Radio-wise... not so much. I don't see him as the "rock god" that him and the sparklies are trying to portray.

As for the stuff about JCS that people are saying... personally I think that's where he belongs. He has a career ahead of him if he sticks with the Broadway stuff. And yeah, I could see him as Judas. He could pull it off. But the Herod idea that someone had is great too. As a matter of fact... when I saw the Broadway tour of JCS, the Herod looked JUST like Adam does on his album cover.....

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Well he has already sung Judas's song "Heaven on their mind" because there is a youtube clip of him doing it so of course he wants to be Judas- I like that song and wasn't particularly impressed with his version.

As for the album and i'm being fair- I thought it would be better. Wasn't there all this press a few months ago about how "Strut" was such a fantastic song to everyone who heard it? It's mediocre- like most of the album. I like "music again" and I like "If I had you" in a gay dance club sort of way- "Soaked" and "A Loaded Smile" awful- "Soaked" is like that song Rizzo sang in Grease and "A loaded Smile" is like the Captain and Tenille's "Muskrat Love"- it has that cheesy vibe. He puts a cover which he says is a homage to "Bowie" yet nothing sounds like anything Bowie would be caught dead singing and it all sounds like bad Britney songs.

This is pretty much what I was expecting: a mediocre album with a WTF cover that will satisfy sparkle cows but not the sane public. This will sound stupid, but Dave, what is payola?
