^^ The higher the expectations are, the bigger the disappointment will be when he doesn't do anything special. I doubt that he'll fail cause he definitely knows how to work the stage and has a lot of experience, but expecting something of the Moonwalk proportions is setting yourself up for a big disappointment.

His album won't be #1 the first week. It's coming out the same day as Rihanna, Shakira, Beyonce, Susan Boyle, Diddy, Lady Gaga... He'll be lucky to crack the top 5. Though I do think he'll sell around 200,000 his first week or so. I see it dropping like a stone after that, but his Sparkle Cows have guaranteed it'll at least be semi-successful for a week.

Actually the soaring vocal at the end of the Pick U Up bridge for me is the highlight of the song and one of surprisingly few uber-vocal highlights on the frustratingly overproduced album. No matter what Lambert produced here, you would obviously trash, since you clearly dont like his voice or vocal style. Which is fine since musical taste is subjective. BTW the pronoun 'he" appears several times in the appropriate context. The first lines of Fever for example. But there is a difference between being open with ones preference and sticking it in the listeners face every chance you get. If Lambert wants to sell albums, he's wise to keep the songs gender/preference neutral for maximum appeal. One persons gloss is another persons strategy. Gotta give Funnystone credit for a reasonably tamed and coherent obligatory pan though. Well... until this little twisted self contradiction: "He’s a pop diva, which isn’t really a surprise. It’s just too bad he didn’t have the cajones to do this type of music on Idol, because then at least the record buying public would have had an idea what they were getting into. Adam wouldn’t have finished as high as second place in that case, but he might have had a career. “ It will be interesting to see what the record buying public does in the next few weeks. Prognostication has never really been VFTW's strong suit, but at least the odds are 50-50 on this one.

Quote "Trisha1111": Just for my edification: Who are the performers now a days that VFTW feels are worthy and acceptable? I sometimes get the feeling that VFTW doesn't like anyone.

Really? Could it be because you are not paying attention to anything else but the object of your obsession? Worsters like a lot of performers. Your comment exposed the fact that our members don't like your personal favorite. Get over it.

dave, according to dr. house and medicine, what you use as an argument is called a rationalization. we use those lies in order to lie ourselves, and if we can, ourselves. i would say that you are a kris fan not only because you liked his album, but because you over-react at the instant you are labeled as a kristard. and yes, i heard both albums, and if i had to pick, i would pick kris' as the best. but at least i am conscious that i like him better because adam is a nasty glambitch. i however, am not the editor in chief of a vote for the worst website, so i do not lose credibility if i rate someones album lower just so the competition is rated higher.
