VFTW Prevails in England: Rage Against the Machine Beats Out X-Factor Winner

A grassroots campaign started in England to make sure that the horrible TV show The X Factor didn't produce the #1 single for the week of Christmas (which it always does) has been successful. A Facebook group called Rage Against The X Factor successfully made sure that Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name Of" was the #1 single as opposed to some guy who won X Factor and no one cares about. The group did this because they're tired of Simon Cowell shoving his pre-packaged pop crap down their throats. This is hilarious, and we love it. Great work, England! You've got the Worster spirit.

P.S. The group has also raised over 80,000 pounds for charity. Bravo!

Thats great. But why are you taking credit for it, you had nothing to do with it, right? How is this a VFTW victory, as you contributed nothing. you just like the results. that makes you fans, not victors. Nothing like riding someone else's coat tails, badly.

And basically, you are applauding people for buying multiple copies of music to get chart position, the same thing you bash Lambert cows for doing. Hypocrites much?

I feel bad for them. The brits I mean. Could you imagine being forced to buy a "tv license" for that crap?

We don't. Over in the UK, the License fee funds the BBC.

X Factor, like Pop Idol before it, is broadcast by ITV and funded by advertising revenue.

Yecch...while I'm glad that the X-factor song was unsuccessful, I loathe RATM and their pseudo-political tuneless yelling. Though...technically it makes sense, as they are "the worst", and it is VFTW.

Hunter, it's a victory because even people overseas are realizing that anything on the tube that was created by Simon is a piece of shit.

Also keep in mind that the people that created the RATM group are very sane, while the people that create Glambert fan-shites are...not.
