JoesPlace has started to post some of the contestants who have been cut in Hollywood. According to the blog, Michael Castro is out again (YAY!). Also cut: Holly Hardin (the human guitar), Katie Bernard, Leah Laurenti, Brandi Holmes, Jason Diaz, Jim Ranger, Kasi Bedford, Meagan Wright, Stephanie Daulong, and Luke Edgemon.
VFTW has also heard that Melissa Bitanga is out, so add that to your lists, everyone.

Well, I'm not unhappy that Holly Hardin is out (I got more than my fill of her on AGT), but I'm mildly surprised she wasn't put on the fast track to the top 24 at least. She has that whole bleach blonde country bumpkin bimbo thing that superficial young males go for. Too bad, so sad. She's a 2-time loser now. I wonder where in reality TV land she'll turn up next. She's running out of shows.

There are at least 6 country bumpkins through to Hollywood already. Holly is expendable, especially since she is tainted by America's Got (No) Talent. Idol likes to pretend their contestants are picked from the middle of nowhere and have no experience.

Holly was one of my favorites so far, so I am sad to see her go. I hope this doesn't mean they are going to cut all the "interesting" people before the voting rounds again. Ah, who am I kidding? Of course that's what they're gonna do! Grrrrrr! *shakes fist*

I'm really surprised Jim got cut so early...I'm interested to see what it was that ended up giving him the boot. I'm guessing maybe a little bit on the 'stage presence' front, but not certain. He's a very genuine soul with a no-nonsense vocal talent. Check out his solo work, as well as his work with the band Soulajar that he joined back in '06.
