When Todrick hired my son, Michael, to play the part of the Lion in his touring production of OZ: the Musical, he was so excited and happy to be a part of the show singing with Diana DeGarmo. I won't share his comments about the show with everyone since that is his business, but I will share my disappointment with Trodrick. Michael was under the assumption that the Lion was his part. He designed his own costume and wonderful make-up. He even has his own song (track # 8) on the CD produced by the show. The show had about a four-week break where the company flew the cast back to their homes. My son went to visit my mother during the break since his grandfather had just passed away and he thought it would be good to be with my mom for a while. When it was time for the tour to resume, Michael was told he wouldn't be needed anymore. He went back to New York to look for another job. He met one of his friends on the street who asked him how it was to fill in for the Lion (Scott). Michael was dumbfounded. Todrick did not tell him that he was just going to be a fill-in while the real lion was off for a while. If Todrick had told Michael that this was just going to be temporary job, he probably wouldn't have taken it. Or, if Todrick had told Michael, at the start of the break that he wouldn't be needed anymore, then Michael could have spent the four weeks off looking for another job. Very poor work ethics on the part of Todrick. I am not impressed with him for messing with my son like that.

My daughter was in Oz the Musical and Cinderella Rocks.

I honestly believe that Todrick had nothing to do with the Dallas' Oz debacle. He allowed my daughter's performance fee to be waived; I believe he did that for a lot of kids.

My daughter was in 4 showings. The first place we were doing rehearsals closed down w/o notification. That had nothing to do w/ Todrick. He scrambled to try and find another place for rehearsals for the kids.

I heard that there was an issue on getting the DVD's to the parents. Again; not directly his fault.

I think part of the issue is that he was trying to make it as inexpensive as possible for kids in lower income brackets to have the opportunity; I guess you get what you pay for.

My daughter had so much fun. Todrick was very nice & patient with the kids. He was respectful to me. He remembers both my kids names. That is a huge feat w/ how many kids he has worked with.

I know there are two sides to every story but all-in-all; we had no major issues.

Quote "pattycake60":
Well pieces of trash, I'm pretty sure he wasn't wearing $300 jeans, it was just part of his cute song. I know he is wonderful person with wonderful talent, I see him going far in life. I'll bet you don't have a tenth of the talent he does.

I was amused by Mr. Money's name too but he does exist, he was the investor the the play. How many people who write and direct plays without investors do you know? I'm sure 0.

American Idol is something that he should have audition for many years ago as far as I'm concerned, I'm extremely happy he finally did it and I hope to see him win.

I made a comment earlier about the studio closing their doors w/o notification.

That would be Greg's studio out in the H/E/B area.
