Howard Stern To Replace Simon Cowell?

There's a wacky article this morning saying that Howard Stern is Fox's first choice to replace Simon Cowell. According to the article...

An insider said that producers of the hit Fox show say Stern, America's highest-paid radio personality, is their top choice to take over from Cowell, who leaves at the end of this season.

They approached Stern after he repeatedly mentioned on-air that his exclusive Sirius XM Radio deal expires next January and he was open to other offers. Cowell was paid $50 million a year.

A source connected to Idol said, Its one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and Idol bosses think he would be even nastier than Simon.

They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen and the contestants. Idol will do what it takes to sign him.

Along with having their voices evaluated, should future contestants now also expect to have their genitals evaluated? Along with being asked about their experience in music, will they also be asked about their experience in anal sex? Howard loves VFTW, and American Idol already is a complete freak show anyway, so we say Go For It!

What comments could you imagine Stern making to past contestants?

Could this have anything to do with those rumors that stern mentioned about Idol being rigged? I don't recall if that was on season 6 or season 7.

Either way, I really hope it's true. Yet another proof that Idol has absolutely nothing to do with singing.

Does thins mean that when Randi goes he'll be replaced by Whoopi Goldberb?

I'm all for that idea. I *love* it. Now regarding the prime time venue, having Stern on certainly would be interesting.

why do they need 4 judges ?. if they have a replacement it should be STEVIE WONDER ! HE WILL JUDGE ON HOW YOU SOUND , THIS IS A SINGING COMP. AFTER ALL . he knows the biz and he has the street cred of the people .
