He got a DUI? Who cares?

You people are getting a little over excited.

He didn't run over any children, calm down. He did not have a repeat offense for DUI. He had a reckless driving charge in 2001 and a separate incident of DUI a year later. So people who are calling him a repeat DUI offender are...wrong.

He is 27 years old now, so when his incidents occured, he was 18 years old (probably 19 for the DUI). Seems kinda lame to be re-convicting him in the court of public opinion for mistakes made 9 years ago, when he just 18.

Get something else to be all up in arms about. It's just a TV show.

you know, what he neglects to say when talking about his motorcycle accident sob story (which btw is complete horseshit "boo hoo, i broke my arm and can now use it perfectly"), iss that he was probably drunk at the time, and probably caused the accident....

Why is everyone judging him for his looks. I don't think that why he's there and I don't think he can help how he looks. Evidently that's whats bothering everybody, that fact that he looks good and not the fact that he can sing. Throwing out some dirt on somebody is just putting somebody else in the spotlight for not good reason. Everybody has a past! Everybody does and I'm not saying he was right but some of us do learn and hope that other people will be there to support them and not drag them back down. If only we would all put as much energy in supporting those people that do have good in them and finding those that keep taking the one thing that is so precious from so many in the world we live in today that keep disappearing without a trace!

You know what? Fuck you all bashing Casey for a mistake he made in the past! Alcoholism is an illness that many people struggle with. Do you think he is proud of those DUIs? And for the record, drunks aren't heartless people who just run over children for the hell of it. I do not agree with drinking and driving, I think it's horrible and there should be a punishment to fit the crime, but I do not hate the people who do it. It was a stupid mistake he made and he is trying to start over. Would you rather him just lock himself in his parent's basement and never get better?

My best friend is an alcoholic and I am proud to say that he hasn't had a drink for one year and two weeks!
