I love how the cows are mooing all over the internet about how it was soooooo disrespectful for one girl to hold up her cellphone while Glamby was singing, but two days ago it was completely normal and within their rights for a couple hundred glamtards to get up and walk-out en masse during Kris's set at the Highline.

I also just read at mj's that Glamby has been partying in NYC with Dustin Lance Black. Guess we're just days away from the release of the inevitable bareback sex tape: http://perezhilton.com/?p=56724

I'm no fan of the way he's been acting lately, and he should NOT have stopped in the middle of the song. But, I do think the girl was being rude. I don't care WHO she was calling. If she had to make a call, she could have gone to the back or something, but not done it while standing in the front row. That's just poor audience ettiquette in my book. I think both her AND Adam behaved badly.

"I bet he stands in front of the mirror naked and "tucks" while he's practicing his girl voice."

Maybe he does it while singing a cover version of The Fall song Hip Priest and renacting the Silence of the Lambs movie scene that featured it.

eh... Talking loudly on a cellphone during a concert (an acoustic concert, at that) is a pretty douchebag move. Yeah, I know she was just calling her grandma to let her hear the concert, but that girl didn't have to be yelling over the music into the phone (if that's what she was actually doing) enough so that it distracted the performers.

But I don't think a musician should ever just stop a performance, and then restart the song because of that. There are many more creative ways to get the person to take the hint to shut up without stopping the music and getting everyone awkwardly uncomfortable.

Yes, more fodder for the VFTW haters. Here's how someone in another blog referred to it:

"HOW moving was WWFM, no matter how many times he already sung this song ...he still comes up with a different version that is so moving...such a great job by him, and MAD WORLD, you know he must be tired of singing that song after so many times but yet he it did with passion and made it fresh...the mark of a genius, he has so many facets to his voice...it is something to behold....ADAM was such a nice guy about the phone, i would have hit her over the head with a kesha cd and then took the phone!!! ARE manners a thing of the past?......a taped live concert and she is ordering out loud a pizza...so silly..."

I hate to say it, but I'm kind of on Lambert's side in this case. I think he was unprofessional and definitely could have been more diplomatic. But Grandma doesn't have an automatic right to be able to listen to a concert that she didn't lawfully acquire tickets to. If the girl was disruptive enough with her cell phone usage that the performer actually noticed, then she was probably also disrupting the other attendees who DID acquire their tickets properly.

If she really wanted Grandma to hear the concert, she should have given her her ticket and stayed home.

I guess what the girl did WAS disrespectful...but Adam Lambert hasn't really done much to deserve respect, so he's just pathetic. Seriously, it's obvious that he's trying to kill his career when he calls out the only fan he has under 45. :P

I really don't think it's that big of a deal (although the "honey" remark was kind of condescending)

Otherwise, I still think he's a bit arrogant: some people find that charming...

Also, I love how Carol is always commenting on how we have no lives and waste our time at this site when she is constantly checking up on VFTW to defend Adam.

Here's an additional comment from the guy I quoted before--and, yes, it is a guy (with a terrific sense of humor):

"this is one man that is a die hard to the bone ADAM LAMBERT fan and i will defend our boy wonder until the last breath leaves my body.....AND then i may come back and haunt the few haters and idiots out there, and i am telling you i would make one damn scary ghost......"
