Angela Martin was on Ellen DeGeneres's talk show today. After talking about her time on the show, Ellen gave Angela good news and bad news. The good news? Ellen is going to get Angela a recording contract. The girl really does deserve something good to happen for her, so good on Ellen. She better follow through and not just be saying this. The bad news? Kara DioGuardi is writing a song for Angela. That's torture. "No Boundaries part 2?" (Via MJ's Big Blog)

Good for her. After all the girl's been through, its nice to have something like this happen. She's better off without Idol. She annoyed me a little, but whatever.

She's experienced so much tragedy in her life, and so now they're putting her through more by making Kara write a song for her.

This is awesome for Angela. However, it makes the Idol judges look like idiots. So she wasn't good enough to make the Top 24 on Idol, but now at least half of the judging panel is willing to give her a record deal, which would have been the grand prize on Idol anyway? How does that make any sense?

Kara is a hag sure, but you'd be ignorant to write her off as a bad songwriter, she is talented and has produced many hits.

Glad they helped Angela out, and it turned out to be a favor to get cut from Idol, cuz she got a sure deal A LOT faster than the folks being put through the reality tv meat grinder. However, they just shot their show in the ass, big time. Good enough for a deal, but not good enough for their karaeoke tv show? LMAO. Good one, folks. Showed what anyone with any sense has seen for years: the singing is secondary, and they are really just looking for a pretty face/cute, charismatic, all American picture of perfection(on the outside, at least) to produce and promote to their liking to keep their cushy jobs and make a few more million for folks that don't even need it. Good going Idol. Number 1 in the world no more, I fear.

She has produced a lot of hits, but with all the rubbish played on top 40 stations, that isn't a tough feat. I liked Kara more before she came on Idol and showed how stupid and horny she is. Basically, she's paid to be a frau.

Awe, that was so sweet. Made me cry a little bit (although my emotions have been a little crazy lately and I also cried during Celebrity Rehab last night). It's nice to see something nice happen to someone who has had a lot of bad things happen but kept such a good attitude- even when she's talking about all these tragic things (and unlike many of the other sob stories on Idol this year, her story is truly sad), it doesn't sound like complaining or begging for sympathy. Hope she does great things.
