I agree people that sing good got kicked off like Stephanie and Chris. That is because of this illegal website. People have lawyers you know! Thank you for the 10 minutes of the day where I laugh my ass off at the hate emails, emails threatening lawsuits and those threatening to crash the site. I am an avid Stern Fan and applaud your interview on his show. I make a daily trip to your website, and once a week I pick up my phone and vote, many, many, many times over. Dear Vote for the Worst, Ok, ha ha. The joke is very funny, but it's over now. Your site is ridiculous already. It's not fair to the people on American Idol that have true talent and would not otherwise have a chance at becomming a star without the show's help. I think your website is a tribute to the American Dream, if nothing else. I recently auditioned for "So You Think You Can Dance". I too, after being passed the first few "un-aired" rounds, was only being set up for mockery. I realized then that this show probably only brings in to the voting phase the top 20 "connected" dancers who have been probably schooled most of their lives . The rest is nothing more than entertainment for America. What is really sad is how I witnessed and was a part of a "character rebuilding" phase where I was asked to say and do stupid things in front of the camera and encouraged to "keep doing those things" or go home before my audition. I shall probably end up as a "blooper" this season. But I think I did a decent job of the dance itself, except for something I added at the end of my routine because I thought "that's what they are looking for." Well, they fooled me good. I don't think they got the entertaining reaction they wanted out of me though, so I may not be aired. But still I'd love to be on TV, even if it is very inaccurately defaming my true persona. I guess we'll see how the editors chop me up. What saddens me most is how they play gods... they can literally make zeros out of heros and vice versa at the drop of a hat. The only thing that is real is 20 very good dancers dancing their best (well at least for now), but as far as a single word of meaning coming out of the judge's mouths and even the editting and made-up background stories... I realize now none of that holds any stock. I'd love to go back next year... too bad i'm 31 now.

Alright, I finally get to tell you guys off. The whole point of American Idol, since the beginning, was to find the best non-contracted singer in America. Since they're trying to find the best, then they obviously cannot do that if you guys are, as your name suggests, voting for the worst. You are completely undermining the point of the show. Moreover, your warrants as for why this site is needed are flawed. Yes, the show does have some weeks devoted to seeing and laughing at bad singers. They know that that does make some money. But then they deliberately take out the bad singers (or try to) so that America can get on with the actual show and not the jokes. And the producers have every right to call you vicious. You are destroying one of the most popular shows in America by voting the opposite of how you are supposed to. And how do you think Sanjaya feels? What if he wins, and he knows that he won not because he has talent (he has none whatsoever) but because a web site of lunatics voted for him for kicks. And he knows that he's bad. You can see it on his face whenever Ryan tells him he's still in. If he wins, and I'm sure he will if you keep going on, then it will be a huge embarrassment for the show, the contestants, and Sanjaya himself. He will get the one record deal that the show provides, then he's got nothing. He'll be a big loser, if he isn't already. I know that this e-mail will probably make little, if no, difference, but I just felt the compelling urge to tell you guys off because it was funny at the beginning, but now it is just childish and stupid and you are ruining the show for the judges, staff, fans, and, most of all, the contestants that get out, but deserve to be in, like Stephanie, Chris, and Sundance. So the choice is yours: you can either keep going or stop. But America, and preping lawyers, want you to stop.

In opposition to all the hate mail you've recieved, I just wanted to drop a note in the other direction. I have to say that I've had more fun with this season of Idol than I ever have before. I have always found it odd that the show first presents itself as a cavalcade of crazy and untalented people, and then turns into a "serious competition". That's a bunch of bull, and it becomes boring. I, for one, am eager to see how far Sanjaya can go. He's become such an awesomely loveable trainwreck, that I think he has a shot to go the distance.
