okay I read your site that my math teacher takes about half an hour every day for the last two months, and its ruining our education we are three weeks beind thanks to your site. but that is not my reason you say you want people with real tallent to win. well how dose voteing for the worst person help that gole come true. get rid of the best to prove that you want the best to win, thats stupid. your site is bull and says the oppocite of what you want to happen. I don;t see why my math teacher has an obsession with your site.

I cannot thank you guys enough for doing this. I have read a good portion of your mail bag, and it seems only failed adults or kids with down syndrome are bitching. American Idol has become nothing more than a cash cow, and we really need to get back to our lives. Every week, about 12 or so of my friends and myself try to vote a minimum of 50 times for Sanjaya. And each week, we encourage others to do the same. Push this kid to the top. He must win this shit. At this point in your hype, you could easily get a spot on Leno or Letterman to promote your site and cause. This is the great war of our time- Sanjaya winning this bullshit.

I just wanted to extend my deepest thanks for the up-keep and maintenance of this website. I think you guys are some of the funniest people to ever write a blog, and this website literally brings a smile to my face almost daily as I sit at my computer desk and pretend to work at this mundane office job all day long. How do you sleep at night? You take away opportunities from the other contestants for a "more entertaining show," and let Sanjaya embarrass himself for another week. The thought of voting for someone and getting their hopes up that they are actually good sucks.The American dream is based upon being good at what you do. Not the fact you have something against the tv show. If you have a problem with the show then write and tell them. Some people preform well under pressure and some don't. Sanjay does not preform well at all compared to others that have been kicked off. To get his hopes up for a record deal because you have a problem with the show is totally wrong. These kids needs to know the truth that they are not as good as you make them. The problem with society is nobody wants to offend anybody. Well wake up call, He sucks, and if I was the record producer I would give him $5000.00 and tell him don't waste my time.

Sabrina should be brought back, Sundance, Gina, and Sanjah or whatever his name is should be off and never heard from again... If you people want a show try to get one and you produce the worst singers, Leave the Idol's to American Idol and the honest people who love to hear good music and singing, and see someone's career take of for what they deserve, this is not a joke to them.....I hope someone sues the pant's off all involved....

I had almost given up watching American Idol altogether because it sucks so bad! At times, it's just downright embarrassing! Between Paula Abdul being hopped up on Vicodin or Prozac or both, and the unbearable performances, I felt ashamed to sit through it. Then I heard you guys were campaigning for the worst contestant again this year: Sanjaya. I knew what I had to do. Unfortunately, the line was busy all night! On the flip side, that means you guys are doing your job! I really think Melinda is extremely talented, but it's worth it to me if she loses so Sanjaya can win and turn this whole corny, schmaltzy, embarrassing competition on its ear! If it all goes down in a ball of flames, I couldn't be happier.

I am from the UK and I agree with a lot that you have to say about the whole audition process. These so-called talent contests have been running here in the UK a lot longer than they have been in America, and you're right, they're fake. They have been edited heavily to emphasis certain charateristics of people. Over here, people only make it through if they have some type of sob story to keep them in the competition. During the audition process, they contact talent agencies, and use actors to add to the really bad auditioners. I know this, because I know someone who cannot sing and was asked by their agency to go on there and act a fool. Some past contestants are given invites to turn up.
Most of the public over here realise this, but what can you do? These "competitons" will continue running as long as desperate fame hungry people continue showing up for auditions.

This competition isn't about the image it's about making young people's dreams come true. Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your website. SO great. I thought AI was getting a little boring, and then I discovered VFTW. I look forward to seeing Sanjaya every week. It's pretty much the only reason I watch it these days. I love how people think that Sanjaya has NO idea what's going on. Wake up! He is milking this for all its worth! I mean, what else can he do? Even though he isn't the best singer, he is a great performer, and I think people are more interested in him than everyone else. He is going to make a ton of money after AI. Sanjaya is definitly going to go down in Idol history. Sanjaya knows that there is no such thing as bad publicity, and he is going to make a killing off all this. Oh, and for everyone that thinks that AI is this great, wholesome family show with no corruption whatsoever, I laugh at you. AI was created for the same reason that any other show on TV was created...to make money. What do you think this industry is all about? I, myself, am a fan of Idol. I didn't start watching seriously until last year, when I discovered Taylor Hicks in the opening auditions. I agree that Kelly Clarkson is a completely molded and sculpted form of what Idol wants their performers to be, and then came Reuben, the big black guy, and then came Fantasia, the black girl, and to even it all out, Idol producers made sure Carrie Underwood became a country star...because we all know Idol has to reach every musical and age genre. Taylor Hicks is the only Idol who is original, unique, and unlike most musical artists today.
Point is, I make fun of Idol contestants on a regular basis as well. I almost died laughing when I read for the first time, "Melinda No-Neck Doolittle." And I can appreciate the many other ways you guys have made fun of, or ridiculed Idol hopefuls. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face each day, and thank you for your witty and HONEST opinions on this low-brow, overrated, yet highly-addcitive show.

Just wanted to say thank-you for what you guys are doing. My husband took my daughter to auditions for the first time last summer. Everything you say is the truth. I know you don’t believe me because I’m her mom but honestly if ever there was anyone qualified to make it past the first round it was my daughter. Of course she didn’t make it. We couldn’t make it until 5:00 the morning of auditions because she performed in a charity concert the night before. For that they got to sit in the stands for eight hours and watch people in clown suits and banana costumes get put through. By the time she got there they smiled at her and said thank-you. The woman said, “Sorry you didn’t make it.” My daughter could see that there was no more passes on the desk. It was obvious the guy thought she was good. My husband said he could see his face light up like a Christmas tree. Now we watch the show. My husband sits there and shakes his head at what got through. Then he gets up and leaves. It isn’t that she didn’t get through that makes him so mad, it’s what did get through instead. I been on some of the other message boards and people really don’t understand how the show is such an insult to people who have tried out and really work hard at what they do. I think the audition process is abusive to singers who really work hard. People defend the show “Oh it’s all in the name of good TV.” They say rotten things about votefortheworst.com. I get so annoyed with Simon sitting at the auditions sulking like a baby at the terrible auditions he has to sit through. I think this is strange since he is a producer of the show. I would think he would have some control over what was getting through to him. It’s all an act. Simon needs some payback. He needs payback for making my husband drive all night. He needs payback for making him and my daughter sit in the stands for eight hours without sleep. He needs payback for making them watch some silly guy in a banana suit sing a peanut butter and jelly song and make it through to the next round. He needs payback for making fun of all those people that he himself has some responsibility for putting them there in the first place. I hope Sanjaya wins and sells about as many CD’s as K-fed.
