Then the parents would need to sue themselves. Either that or instead of going into a profession that you advocate a class-action lawsuit against, perhaps you should become a lawyer (or layer, depending on your level of education).

Yes, this is true. Sligh has a band and an album and is actually quoted in several stories as saying he wanted to get back to his band to do more of the Christian music that was more in line with what he wanted to do. He said his goal was to make the top 10 which he did, so that he could go on tour, and help his main career. Which he can now do even more easily, because he will not be under an obligations to 19E. Same with Gina. Can you really see her doing the kind of stuff that your typical idol contestant does? I mean, what would her version of "Open Toes" be? She had as much exposure as she could have reasonably expected, and can now sink or swim on her own, in her own musical genre without having to staplegun herself into a Celine Dion cover. And if either of these contestants didn't have the vote to rise above Phil or Haley, then I don't think the case can be made that we ruined their chances. The lack of their fans voting as much as the dimwits who vote for Phil and Haley is really to blame.
