80Amps....I do have an appreciation for music and do not dispute tht Melinda has a decent voice, but I personally can't stand to watch her perform. She belongs in the back ground. Sanjaya may not have a powerful voice, but he is entertaining. AI is definitely NOT about who the best singer is, otherwise Chris Daughtry from Season 5 would have won. AI is all about the $$ and entertainment value...not about talent.

I know you were *talking* about Melinda... but what I heard was:

Vote for Sanjaya! His comical value outweighs Haley by far.

Simple truth: Melinda is a decent singer, but Sanjaya is the most interesting thing to happen to the show ever, and the most entertainment available through AI can be achieved by keeping him around.

i think that that Haley girl is seriously boring, last night i couldnt understand a thing that she was saying. i think that sanhaa, or whatever his name is, should win just to make everyone mad.it would totally kill the show if he won , so maybe he shouldnt win, just do well.

Exactly. Haley only sucks. That's it. She doesn't even suck in a way that's funny. She's just not good at all. She isn't even **hideously bad** like Nos-phil-ratu. She's like fake Vanilla ice cream. Even if she were stellar, SHE WOULDN'T EVEN BE VANILLA.

It's like last year when people thought we should ditch Pickler in favor of Ace. Ace sucked, and replaced Lunesta for me for a while, but wasn't interesting or funny or crazy. Nor did he exhibit any kind of personality, nor did his continued presence represent any kind of scandal or embarassment for AI. Pickler on the other hand was pure comedy gold and a trainwreck.

It's the same thing here, only this year, we have a contestant who's so good at it he can manage to keep his real fan base, flick his nose to Simon, AND play to VFTW all while rocking the most bizarrely hilarious looks and moves ever to grace the show.

He's a genius. Haley's a marginal at best hot-girl on karoke night.

I think this site is appalling. There are people that really like to watch American Idol. So what!!! if the auditions aren't fair. This is an immature way of dealing with what you don't agree with. I believe that American Idol should limit the number of calls to 10 per caller and perhaps we would see who really can sing and who cannot. This would be the solution and would basically shut down a site like this. OH but no, they want you to come here so they can get paid from the advertising, you all just don't get it. At least AI is contributing to a good cause because of it's fame!! I don't see this site doing that.

Each week our family sits and watches AI, and it is a shame that people like you have to ruin a show that is loved by many families. There are shows with crime, sex, horror, etc. and you have degrade a show that is suitable for everyone!! Shame on you!

Ok bring it on, I am ready to hear how you feel or should I say "justify" turning something that is good into something bad!!
