Sanjaya Malakar has won another award for being incredibly awesome! We're not sure if he's going to want this won, but he is Maxim's Girl of the Day. While some people may find this insulting, we think it's great because it keeps Sanjaya's name out there for voting tonight! Make sure to vote as many times as you can, because Sanjaya is going to rule Country night. Embrace your inner Fanjaya-ness if you haven't yet, tonight isn't too late to join the bandwagon and vote along with VFTW, Howard Stern, Rose McGowan, Carson Daly, and more.

Sanjaya will rock it tonight. My predictions:

Imus loans Sanjaya his cowboy hat. Our boy(?)performs "Why don't we get drunk and screw?" by Jimmy Buffett.

Either No-Neck or Back-Boobs will perform "I will always love you (and overwrought power ballads)" by Dolly Parton.

Phil will attempt another Lee Ann Rimes song. And suck.

Chris' nasal passages will collapse when he mixes his whiny Timberfake style with country twang.

The rest will have pedestrian perfomances which will soon be forgotten by all. Even the whiners who insist that AI is the best show ever.

I really love SanJaya. He's so different than the others. I like different. It's like eating the same food all the time. After a while it gets old. Well SanJaya a fresh look and he has a great personality. You never know what he going to do next. Fun time for so many.!

I heard that Billy Ray Cyrus is still hanging around on “Dancing With the Stars”…perhaps Sanjaya can honor this goof with a rousing rendition of “Achy Breaky Heart!” Give him a big ten-gallon hat and a pair of ass-less chaps and he'll surely rack up the top number of votes this week!

By the way, Dave I heard you on Howard’s show this morning – nice job! Probably a bit too much info in some cases, but very entertaining nonetheless. Best of luck on Letterman tonight. GO SANJAYA!!!

Let's take a moment to think about the impact that VFTW, Howard Stern, Internet Blogs and countless others are having on the results of American Idol. Now, let's all raise our glasses and make a toast. I think this is revolutionary because of the hype for Sanjaya it has now cast him into the same category of other celebrities who are recognized by a single name - Madonna, Sting, Prince, Cher and Rosanne just to name a few. (Geez, does that show my age?) Anyway, with everybody talking about the weekly results here is a question. For a moment I want to play devil's advocate and suggest the following scenario: With the overwhelming popularity of Sanjaya do we really believe that the producers would allow him to actually win? Since votes are calculated by phone calls and text messages who is to say that the producers wouldn't set all that aside and declare another contestant the winner in order to keep the integrity of the show in tact? How would anybody really know since the voting is anonymous and the only people who really know are the producers (and possibly the independent company(s) who track the results.

Anyhow.. It’s just a thought. I'd be curious to hear what other people think.

You forgot Kermit ;)

Are the votes really calculated by phone calls? There's no transparency in the vote results - they won't even tell the viewers how many each contestant received. Why is this all so secretive? Unless the producers bring in independent and visible auditing, I don't believe the votes are the final say on who stays and who goes.
