I'm doubting that there's any truth to this. Not because I don't think American Idol is rigged (because I'm sure it is), but because this isn't being reported on any news sites. If this could be proven, it'd make front page headlines easily.

This is good Dave! Did you happen to dig up anything from the ‘national inquirer’? I was thinking Melinda is an alien from out of space, and I was wondering who else noticed it.

I thought it was strange that Poolittle got the boot despite polling the highest on DialIdol. "in 6 seasons only two American Idol’s have been picked by the viewing public" I always thought Ruben and Carrie's victories were really suspicious, but I'm not sure who the other rigged winner would have been. If this story is true, I don't see how they could have kept all this crap a secret for all these years though.

Yea! Give AI a reason to do another 'Idol Give Back' special episode to release all the votes down to a T, so their adoring fans knows Sanjaya been bringing in the votes. Or subpoena the results. Overrated pimped up Wookie can cry for real this time.
I don't see how they could have kept all this crap a secret for all these years though.
It's very simple really, and not as hard as you might think when you remember this very simple fact. Fox, Freemantle, and 19 Entertainment control all aspects of this show including the voting. The company that supposedly audits the votes is not independent at all, and has ties to Fox/19 Entertainment. Remember the game shows back in the fifties? They came undone only because one person finally spoke up. They pretty much did what they wanted until then, and the guy that blew the whistle only did so because they didn't follow through on promises they made to him. That is why game shows are now regulated. But Idol is not regulated. It is not considered a game show at all so the only controls and oversight is done by the production company and the network. And as we know from the way our own government functioned for six years, when there is no independent oversight or regulation, people will do what they want until they finally trip up or that one person finally comes forward to reveal all. Especially when there's millions upon millions of dollars involved for sponsors, record companies and the like. I always laugh when I hear people excuse not having an independent company audit the votes by offering this excuse: "But they wouldn't take the chance of anybody finding out." Funny, but that's the exact same thing the producers say when people ask why not have an independent auditor and release the vote totals. So in essence, they never answer the question and they never will because the only answer is that they want to have complete control of what goes on. There is no other reason for it. None, zilch, nada. Jordin was destined to win

People, follow the link Clyde's provided above - the fix is on, and Jordin has been chosen to "win". Anyone who believes AI is a real contest, you need to read that article. Clyde, love your work - thank you for going to the effort! http://smartiesplace.blogspot.com

all 3 were "too close to call", but it's been way off this season, consantly "too close to call". lakisha was at the bottom of dial idol for weeks. i think that idol has fixed up the phone system to get fewer busy signals. plus dial idol only reports votes when there is a busy signal. i know of 1000s of sanjaya votes that were never reported there is no way they would have picked taylor last season.

If you peek at the latest cover for TV Guide, note that Jorbacca is located front and center, towering above Melinda and Blake. I don't know, maybe it's me, but it seems like the favortism is showing through a little bit.

Certainly looks like favouritism to me; Wookie is smack in the middle which draws the eye, Blake has a TV Guide logo threatening to crush him plus Wookie's bazongas are pushing him aside, and Shrek looks like she's being shoved out of the shot by Wookie's enormous arse. http://smartiesplace.blogspot.com

This is a really interesting read from Howard 100 News. It talks about the possible rigging of American Idol and what the producers thought about VFTW this year, so make sure to click read more and check out the whole thing.
