Thanks for the shoutout M-Dawg!

There is a place for the kind of armor you mention, and the front page, being the front line, is exactly where it's best used.

Tho I do wish occasionally you would grace us with your rusty axes on the messageboard. Come have a cider and enjoy!

heheheh

I heard this and thought there was a lot of similarity, but The most important part of a song is the melody, not the background. I heard most of the similarity in the background. After hearing it, my impression is that he was probably directly influenced from the other one. Simply because the instrumentals were fairly similar and other things were as well. If true, not much originality went into it. However, you have to remember there are oodles of popular songs out there that have similar backgrounds and chord structures. It happens all the time and goes un-noticed. Some of the better groups tend not to do this as much. I can almost always tell when an artist was listening to another song etc. It doesn't always bother me, but sometimes it's really bad. Basically the more original they are, the less it happens. So it's NOT the same as Nickelback in terms of melody, BUT that said, it's about as close as you can get without saying it is the other. I never was a Chris fan, but he does have a great voice.

I hope I don't ruffle any feathers bumping this old thread. I just couldn't resist, though. I wonder if the Daughtry fantards still think he'll be around in 20 years? It seems now that his butt buddy, Clive is now longer the head dick at his label, Dicktry's single from his new CD isn't doing so hot. I guess it's a case of no pay, no play.
