Nigel Lythgoe Promises American Idol 7 Will Suck Less... VFTW Assures You He's Lying

Everyone's least favorite American Idol executive producer/cow-metaphor-using twit is back to promote season 7 of American Idol. But why should we listen? Apparently, as he tells the New York Post, there are some changes. First, the contestants will be allowed to play instruments in the Hollywood round. Looks like Nigel wants to pimp someone who plays guitar this year. Yawn, it's been done on many international Idol shows before. Secondly, there will be less guest mentors this year. This is a good thing, as Gwen Stefani was outsung by the entire top 24. Third, the Idol tour may be combined with the So You Think You Can Dance tour next year. Look for record low ticket sales. And lastly, a contestant who tried out before but was inelligible due to not being an American citizen is back. We think it's that lame Irish girl Simon was trying to pimp a few seasons ago before the season even started. This show is so recycled, it's scary.
