Your website annoys me. It is the epitome of the "sour grapes" approach to life...spoiling the true contest. You claim that the best voices are left out...that the weird ones are chosen...and occasionally that does happen (Crazy Dave last season). But the truth is that all three judges and the producers are the ones in show business and they do know what they are looking at and for. Kerry Underwood is no fluke. Christ Daughtry's popularity speaks for itself. If it were not for your show, he may well have won. The bottom line is...The producers have every right to choose whomever they want...it is their choice, their show...they pay for it. You sound like a spoil-sport who was rejected. Star quality in this century demands the right look, weight, personality, and as Simon often states... likability and a powerful voice. I have known artists who had it all, but they were not likeable...and thus...they failed to generate an audience. Please stop spoiling the fun of this show...Get over your bitterness and tune out rather than ruining the results for some truly quality singers. I know a bit about music as I have been married to a music teacher for 35 years and am mother of a former country artist sound techie who toured with Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans, Mark Wills, Yellow Card, and Little Big Town.) I believe that someday you will want something very badly and this will come back in your face. (We reap what we sow!!!!!)

After I heard your interview on Stern last year you kind of impressed me. That you were out and not hiding in the closet I thought was a sign of some kind of admiriable. Then this year the first time an obvious gay kid Danny has the balls to be who he is on national tv what the fuck do you do to him? Slam him with the worst tag. Dude you need to go to the clue store and purchase a few. First of all Danny actually has a great set of pipes and he is a good performer. Instead of giving him kudos as a gay man and maybe giving hope to all the other gay kids out there who are tortured and tormented each and every day of their existence you feed right into the homphobic scumbags out there who literaly abuse these kids. And then you have another fucking scumbag with his "fruit" comments all over his blog..........what the fuck are you a total asshole? don't you accept any kind of responsibility as a gay person to not bash other gays? It boggles my mind that you cant even realize that what you are doing to Danny is no different than the rightwing nut scum who preach to thousands of kids how evil being gay is and how your life will be ruined if you have gay thoughts as Rev. Ted Haggard did and then he smokes meth while a hustler rams his fist up his ass. Hey....just a quick comment.....If you don't like the show or agree with it then DONT WATCH IT...It's really sad to see websites like these devoted to trying to ruin a show...Of course shows like American Idol have their favorites and of course they try to steer the show in a certain direction...that's their job....it doesn't mean that the people that make it to the finals are not talented....American Idol is not just about talent. It's about having talent...a little bit of luck....and perfect timing as to what the producer are looking for....Stop hating...If you guys are so intent on changing the outcomes of these shows then do something positive: Don't Vote and let the people that appreciate the show conrol the outcome.

I was just on Yahoo answers and loads of people were saying that Danny N is going to be the new Sanjaya, and that the only reason Sanjaya got as far as he did was because Votefortheworst was backing him and that now you are probably going to support Danny N. Thanks for the great blogs. I used to be a 'true fan' of Idol when it first started. I was so naive back then, now that I look back. Even though your site broke through the illusion for me, I am all the better for it and not one bit upset, at least not at you guys. When I first started visiting your site, all the questions I had in my mind finally had answers, for the most part. I figured something fishy was going on, and it turns out that queasy feeling in my stomach was only the tip of the iceberg. The only reason I watch now is to read your blogs afterwards and vote for the worst. I've seen every episode since season 1, even the shiteous 'Idol Gives Back' show. Although if I had gone so far as to have watched the holiday specials, I might have gone and hung up a rope. Thanks for the humor and insight. I hope you and every Worster out there continue to fuck with the Idol producers until the show's demise, which looks to be soon.

I have been just a lurker until now, and can hardly claim to be the most bestest fan of your site, but I finally have to give you people the kudos you deserve:

American Idol would be nothing to me without VFTW.com. Seriously. American Idol by itself is a big steaming heap of trots plopped on top of a tired idea. I value my free time, and wouldn't waste it on what is little more than Star Search remastered, if it wasn't for the bittersweetastic flavor that is Vote for the Worst. Someday I think AI will be paying you to keep them alive, if they aren't already. The power of AI and VFTW.com together seems too brilliant to not be contrived, (and I don't care if it is). The turd tossing monkey wrenches VTFW throws at AI, and the awesome dirt digging you do keeps everything interesting. The covert corruption that drips off the show is obvious to all but the most deeply planted ostrich heads, so the overt corruption of VTFW just completes the balanced diet. Can anyone, even the most vehement naysayers, deny that last season wouldn't have been half as interesting without the cringe inducing wonderhair that is Sanjaya. (Come on naysayers, admit it, you love to have something to bitch about, and the fact that you even come to VTFW shows you're entertained by your love to hate it. After all, entertainment is the grand purpose of all this isn't it?) For every cracked decision American Idol and it's viewers make, Vote for the Worst is there to expose it, warp it, and turn it from something about as desirable as lumpy farts, into something worth giving time to. Yes, Vote for the Worst, you have successfully managed to do what no one has done before... you have polished a turd. Grats!

I think you guys are great! American idol is super fake and it is sooo funny to watch people get sooo sserious about it (rember last season that lady stopped eating until sanjaya was off). Just keep doing what your doing! you rock!

I have got to give you all credit... You were 100% right name for name on the top 24 predictions...even the names of people who were barely a blip on the screen! I'm beginning to suspect you and the AI producers are on the same team. The show draws in votes for its best singers, then you all come in and raise the ratings and vote counts by encouraging the opposite. After all, AI is a business in the end, and producers love to brag about having votes in the tens of millions...doesn't matter if the votes are for the best or the worst so long as they are counted and bragged about. I do believe there is real talent on the show. They may not have the staying power of Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood, but they are enjoyable. While I don't agree with you torturing America with votes for Sanjaya, your insights are pretty good on stuff like this. I just dread which bad one you're going to try and torture my ears with first!

Yeah, in case you couldn't tell, I find your site hilarious. If you could have groupies, I'd jump right on the bandwagon. The only thing I have to complain about is that, in order to fully appreciate the genius that is VFTW, I have to sit through American Idol. Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it too, right? yes, American idol is a joke. how is it that every year, there are always two or three black finalist, in the top 26 (three males, three females), when the most influential form of music is R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop? All I'm seeing here is, a show with mostly white kids, dancing, movin, rifting, and trying to sing black. this reminds me of the fifties, when alot of white artists would steal black's music, re-record it, put their face on the album cover, and suddenly, it becomes more acceptable and fit for the American forum. Personally, I'm not going to watch the show this year. I probably won't watch the show ever again. I'll wait to someone comes along and do what Dick Clark did for the black music artists, back in the 70's. Remember what that was? Back then, when the only music award show was "The Grammys," they weren't acknowledging black artists and black music as being important, or acceptable. They weren't hardly giving away any awards to black artist, except for maybe "Stevie Wonder." So, Dick Clark (Host of American Bandstand) joined forces with some of his colleagues and formed "The American Music Awards." A show geared specifically towards black music and the black artist. "Hats off," to you, Dick Clark! You should be awarded by the NAACP for such a realistic and courageous act! Now, it's time for someone to do the same for "American Idol."
