You wanna keep track of how many votes everyone has? Go to: http://www.dialidol.com/asp/predictions/Predictions.asp and dink around. You'll see that since season 4, they've never been wrong about who the winner will be. But, if you look on that first page that the link takes you to, you'll see that Danny came in a respectable 4th overall.

(oops, I see now that the site was referenced above. Sowwy.)

AOL is doing an informal poll on who the fans think

should advance to the final 12. According their poll,

Michael Johns and David Archuleta are the most popular.

Followed by Robbie Carrico, Jason Castro, David Cook, and

David Hernandez.

Here's the website link:

As for the girls, according the same AOL poll the most popular girls in order are Ramiele Malubay, Carly Smithson,

A'siah Epperson, Syesha Mercado, Brooke White, and Kady Malloy. Alaina Whitaker despite having the most downloaded song on iTunes among the top 24 girls did not make the top6 list of the AOL polls. Curious.

Here's the link:

So it looks the iTunes download tracking system is a somewhat accurate barometer of what the idol fans are thinking.

Oops! Looks like iTunes caught on to the popularity-showing mistake. Here's their latest posting on that matter:

"iTunes and Fox are committed to presenting contestants in a fair and balanced manner online and on-air." [ Fox: **coughcoughBULLCRAP!coughcough**] "For this reason, sales of performances from American Idol contestants from the current season will not be reflected in the iTunes charts."

Darnit all! And just when I thought there was a delicious spoiler chart all ready to peruse after each week.

No, you can still see them. There's a comment above that tells how to do it.

Just took a look and seems that TPTB finally wised up. They still show popularity, but everybody gets equivalent bars. Darn it, I thought Steve Jobs was on our side.
