i'm sorry, but any beatles should only be obscure to uncultured children like david a! the stupid-ass kid muffs on the lyrics, even though he picked 'imagine' two weeks ago, and tried to tell simon what the song was about. what, the kid knows the hidden meaning of john lennon songs, but doesn't know the FUCKING WORDS TO A BEATLES SONG? i hate him with an almost unspeakable hate.

try listening to good, non-commercial singers, and you will see that all singers do not sound the same. listen to ween, and you will find that gene ween sounds like a different person on every song. i mean, come on, the three singers you listed, while great vocalists, are about as mainstream as you can get.

"You can't do that" was awful, but I don't think it was Amanda's fault. The arrangement was tacky stadium pop-rock that didn't suit her. She needs noise-sludge or maybe Stonesy drunken loose blues grooves... Since it's possible to re-arrange almost any melody over certain basic rock riffs (in the 1960s there was a version of Like a Rolling Stone set over the Louie Louie riff), I suggest that in the future Amanda instruct the band to play a diffeernt ZZ-Top riff every week, and then insert whatever 'melody' she's given over that - with the usual post-linguistic gutteral scatting, of course.

I thought Amanda was pretty good again this week, but please keep her as your postergirl as long as you can. It's true that she has no chance to go all the way and would be a marketing nightmare, but Cowell's right: she is a welcome change from the usual syrup. Vote Amanda and everybody's happy.

You have to admit, you'll never have to dread another mindless reading of "Against All Odds" from her.

Lullaby and Pimp respectively sleepwalked and stumbled through their choices; KKKristy and Stripper Boy obviously know about the Beatles only from soundtracks of the feel-good hit of the summer; but I have to say there were more solid performances last night than I ever expected.

I don't think KKKristy can possibly survive that abortion of "Eight Days A Week." Bad choice, bad arrangement, bad performance, bad idea.

I just now got to see the show, (Thank you Jesus for DVR), but Amanda RULED! She was VFTW perfection.

Chickeze was truly awesome as well. If we loose Amanda, we MUST go for him.

I will also add this one awesome thing about Amanda last night, those pants fit her prefectly and she looked amazing in them. For any person who ever wants to wear vertical striped pants, take note, they should fit exactly like Amanda's did, no matter how you stand the lines should remain VERTICAL and not bow at any point on your body, if they bow they dont fit you. She really rocked those pants!

I think this website is getting away from the definition of "the worst."

To me and others, "The Worst" is the least talented, and that to me means Kristy Lee or The Stripper Hernandez.

However, I get the feeling that at this website that "The worst" means whomever this website's ownership feels is the worst, rather than say, most of your posters.

Be honest owners, Sanjaya was a gift. "The worst" doesn't get better than that, heh.

Is there a way the readership can vote for the worst? I'll vote for Amanda this week, sure, but so what? She's more talented than D-Stripper and Kristy Lee, so she'll survive anyway so no way can this site claim to have influenced that, right?

This is a great website and I really wish you'd listen to what your posters feel is the absolute worst and therefore worthy of being voted back, week after annoying week.

OMG for the UMPTEENTH time, the VFTW choice is the WORST nightmare for the producers and powers that be. The WORST marketing nightmare and worst possible person for someone like Clive to be forced to work with. Like some who knows themself and their musical style and therefore can't be manipulated or molded, and thereby becoming the most entertaining for VFTW fans as we watch the powers implode. OK enough already.

Meanwhile, two things I noticed tonight worth mentioning. Carlyplant kept putting her hands all over Amanda every chance she could and Amanda looked really creeped out the whole night and wouldn't recipricate. I loved it.

Also, on Idol Chatter on Fox tonight, they mentioned that someone in Amanda's hometown is trying to sell nude photos of her. Here we go again....

Dave, can you get any evidence of this? Thanks
