While we were all hoping Paula Abdul was tied to Simon Cowell's American version of X-Factor, it turns out she might have had other plans. Entertainment Weekly says Paula is about to finish signing a deal to host and judge a resurrected version of Star Search on ABC. The show is being planned to start this summer.

Seriously, Paula? That's such a waste. Get out of this deal immediately. Worsters don't want to watch Star Search. It's 100 times more boring than Idol. What do you think, is this a good or bad move for Paula?

I'm thinking this show could be craptacular. Anything that puts a drunk woman on camera in a talent show is a good thing.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Just bring her back to Idol and axe Dildo and Ellen. And give her more buckets of drugs.

Following in the footsteps of Ed McMahon and Arsenio Hall? Clearly Star Search did great things for both of their careers, so how could it go wrong for Paula??

If she can do Star Search AND X Factor, then... well... ok. But if she chose it INSTEAD... then that's just dumb.

The market is fucking saturated with singing/talent competition shows. Back during SS's heyday, it pretty much had a monopoly. This will fail miserably. Therefore, I'm all for it!!!!!!!
