Starpulse Wonders Why We're Supporting Tim Urban

Some articles around the web have asked it, so we might as well go ahead and answer for those of you who don't get the site. Starpulse asks:

I have a question for the fine folks over at Vote For The Worst – when your choice suddenly starts to become good, how can you still offer him your support? Isn’t that counterintuitive?

The answer is, "Of course not!" This season, there have been many fodder contestants who have traded off on who sucks the most each week. When VFTW makes a pick, we stick to it until they're gone or some radical transformation happens. Tim was easily the worst most weeks of the finals, but this past week maybe Andrew or Aaron was not as good because Tim stuck to easy songs he knew he could sing well. In the end, it doesn't matter, as we don't jump around back and forth depending on who's the worst for the week, it's an overall pick. Since so many contestants are so bad and inconsistent this season, it wouldn't make sense for us to jump around, confusing everyone as to who we're supporting. People just have short attention spans and forget how much America hated Tim just 2 short weeks ago. That won't go away.

If Tim manages to survive tonight, he'll be swimming with the big fish, because it would mean that 2 fodder contestants (2 of Andrew, Aaron, Katie would go home) would be gone. So Tim would be left with Crystal, Siobhan, Lee, Casey, and Big Mike. And there's no arguing that Tim would easily again be the obvious Worst and would not be expected to outlast any of those people. The producers clearly do not want Tim to take out Lee for instance. So let's hope Timmy survives tonight and the hilarity will continue to ensue again. And if he does go home, that means someone else terrible will survive tonight and we'll easily be able to pick them.

And if you don't agree? Well we don't particularly care. We're on the Timmy train until it's derailed. Those of you might remember a guy named Sanjaya who had 2 back to back performances that the judges didn't hate. Would we have switched from him? Of course not.

The same goes for Commenters who challenge the dynamic that is VFTW.

They're haters trying to troll - that's it. 'Nuff said.

The quoted article is by someone who LOVES Adam Lambert. I doubt he/she cares much for the site that bashes the hell out of him.

I like the reply, though. Well done.

GO TIMMEH!!!!

A long time lurker here but I signed up because I have an important question to ask.

What would happen to this site if this season is AI's final season?

There's a big chance that I'm going to further my studies in the US later this year and I hope I can have all the fun you guys had with the Chosen Ones. I have Globe7 but I don't think that's enough. I want to print out flyers and post posters all over town like that Zach from Atlanta too :(

If Idol ends, we still have X Factor. We'll ruin any show where Simon Cowell wants to shove karaoke singers down the music-buying public's throats, don't worry. :)

No, that's Jaydee Bixby from Canadian Idol - 9 weeks.

If Timmy makes it past this week, he ties Jaydee.
