Carrie Underwood won Entertainer of the Year for the second year in a row at the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight. Of course, it didn;t hurt that the voting was done via text messaging, and her Idol fans were well versed in already voting for her. Also, Toby Keith's fans probably don't know how to operate one of them there telephones. But congrats to Farmbot for taking it back to back. Her performance chip's recent upgrade is totally showing.
In related news, Taylor Swift won nothing at the Awards and had this to say in the aftershow press conference: "Who moved my cheese? Would someone give me a cookie? I won't ask for a glass of milk!"

A lot of folks are saying that since our Timmy is getting better (and is no longer the "worst" w/o saying who is), we shouldn't be supporting him anymore. My feeling was "Of course he's going to improve. Who wouldn't?" I stand corrected: Taylor Swift. Our Timmeh CAN carry a tune. GO TIMMEH! Everybody, please VOTE like your life depends on it!

I was channel surfing and happened on Taylor Swift's performance. My first reaction was that she would not make past the first auditions on Idol. Simon holds her name up as the goal for this year's contestants but if a no-name made it to the TV audition and sang as badly as she did, he would have stopped her mid-song then chewed her up and spit her out.
