Haha. Who knew that Eminem was even aware that Baldy existed? I think this is a case of lazy rhymes. Brook Hogan? I vaguely remember her. Aren't these references like 2 year old? Way to seem in touch Em.

This might actually help Cook. He was completely off everyone's radar (a fate worse than death) and now people might start talking about him. Doubtful though.

He called out Everlast (Whitey Ford) (Erik Schrody) several years back, they had this idiotic back and forth exchange. Emminem wound up running with his tail tucked. Sad really. I actually sort of liked that 8-Mile shit movie & some of his music. Of course Ev's another whack case, but that's another story.

But didn't David Cook's first album do decently? I know it smashed the record for most songs on the billboard top 100 from an album in its opening week (signaling the end of listenable mainstream music).

I think he singled out David because he wanted to pick on AI and Cook is the only Idol winner surname that rhymes with "hook" and "Brook." Whatever the case, it's lame.

When I read the title of this post I was sure Em was going to be a new worster hero. I read on, and to my delight, he was called a pussy. Awesome. Can't stand that guy. Doesn't he have something better to write about like maybe a new girlfriend or any generic woman to kill and stuff in a trunk? I'd think his fans would like that better than having to say "Huh? Who the hell is David Cook?" Pop music recycles the same song over and over, I don't see why Em thinks he has to try something new. I wonder if his fans will start watching Idol when they find out he keeps up with the contestants?

I actually liked Eminem when he first came out back in the 90's. I still have his very first cd. I didn't even know he was still making music. But I think he used David Cooks name because it rhymed well. lol.

Quote "theit52": But I think he used David Cooks name because it rhymed well. lol. This. Not much else needs to be said. And Cook's pretty irrelevant these days. So "flash in the pan" is a pretty fair critique.

Well, Eminem has a hard time coming to terms with his own homosexuality. He seems so obsessed with homosexuality and what he likes to call "faggots", I guess it's pretty obvious what's on his mind... As for David Cooke, his album peaked at # 3 and is certified platinum. The song "Time of my life" (his AI victory song) is certified platinum and did annoyingly well on the AC charts. But none of the singles from his album did that well. One of them went top 20 - which is okay, I guess - and the rest of them vanished.

I think Eminem is one of the greatest American poets. I am not too familiar with his latest stuff, but early work was so painfully honest and vulnerable.
