Tyler Grady, one of the first semifinalists voted off of American Idol 9, is now being featured in a local car commerical. See, kids. This is what happens when you try out for Idol. You don't get a career in music, you're lucky if a local business wants to use you in an ad. It's just not worth it. We're anxiously awaiting Lee DeWyze's similar car commercial to come out soon.

Well, it has really been established long ago that most end up with some form of acting gig. This does not surprise me in the least.

LEE cant sell cars ! how can a person who took the short bus to school sell a car . i mean come on he cant even speak in complete sentences . i mean it would be cool for them to show the Flintstone openning of Fred in the car , and then cut to live action of Lee getting out of a car with an offer to sell it to YOU , YABA DABBA DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

At first I was surprised that he didn't mention in the commercial that he was from Idol, since he got booted off so long ago that many don't remember him. But I guess if its a commercial in his hometown, most people will remember him. I find it amusing though that they just threw in random people off the street to talk about the dealership. Maybe the company couldn't afford to hire an extremely minor celebrity for the full 30 seconds. :P

I love that this guy was so full of himself and then this happens. I live near him in PA and glad I never seen this shitty commercial.

Off topic : The radio stations around here are advertising like crazy for the Idol concert in Hershey stadium on the 15th. I swear every hour they are giving away tickets and then I heard today that they are selling the tickets at 2 for the price of 1! If I had off that day, I'd go down there and take pictures of Frau eating chocolate bars :P
