If they boot Kara too maybe Jessica Simpson might be an ok Pauler-type (incomprehensible former pop star), but they still have the gaping hole left by Simon. And by that I probably mean they need to do something about Seacrest, but still they do need to replace Cowell with someone to piss on the dreams of the deluded.

The show went into a permanent downhill slide when the producers replaced funny and loopy Paula with Ellen. The show ceased being entertaining for me at that point, especially when Simon, who really has a good ear for singing talent, got fed up with the whole screwed up mess and correctly said he wasn't coming back. Can or should FOX now try to save AI? I vote a very strong no.

a) It is obvious that Ellen got the ol' boot as her explanation makes no sense. She didn't like hurting the singer's feelings???? Huh??? I tried to think of one comment from Ellen but couldn't remember anything she said - I doubt the brain dead singers from AI9 remember anything by now as well. (Honestly – by now Crystal probably doesn’t even remember she was on Idol due to partaking in certain memory lapsing items) b) The bigger question is how much dignity are they going to allow Kara when they kick her old skank butt to the curb? Seeing as Ellen, who is a much bigger star, has given a bare bones excuse of why “she moved on”, I can’t wait to see what shitty excuse Kara will be allowed to use. c) If the heads a choppin’ and the crazies a comin’ are due to Nigel’s returns: Then Dear Sir: You are a douchebag; but you are my type of douchebag.

The only thing that surprises me about this is that (I thought) Ellen had a multi-year contract. They must've negotiated a buy-out. What they should have done (as I said last season) was fire Ryan, replace him with Ellen, fire Kara and go back to a 3 judge panel. (The Dawg, Ozzy Osbourne & Whitney Houston would be lots of incomprehensible fun to watch).
