Ryan Tedder, the lead singer of One Republic, has contributed to the shittiness of American Idol in many ways. He writes horrible songs for people like Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Lambert that rival Kara DioGuardi's masterpieces of crap. But the one thing he did to actually mess up the performance shows was to release the song "Apologize" and then greenlight it for karaoke hell. First, David Archuleta performed a lame version of the song during season 7. Then Kris Allen performed a forgettable version durng season 8. Keeping the trend going, Tim Urban picked the song up and took a giant dump on it during season 9 in what is now a VFTW classic.
So after Tim's horrible falsetto notes, we know there's no more entertainment value left in the song. This means it should be retired and left to die. As for Ryan Tedder's songwriting career, please kill that too. Thanks.
Oh, man, my office had a field day with Timmy's version. We would all yell, "It's (whisper) toolate (yell) TO APOLOGIIIIIIIIZE, It's (whisper)toolaaaate..." So fun.

Thanks for the bad memories, funnystone. I had almost forgotten about our Sultan of Suck.
Hell, it might as well be called the Season of Suck, because no one was expecting this amount of FAIL in one season.
This song SHOULD be banned! I feel that songs sung on karaoke shows should be retired the same way hurricane names are retired; once a GOD AWFUL TRAINWRECK of that song airs, it should just be BANNED.
