Jackie Tohn and Jes Hudak, yes Powerfox and Ponymane, have been announced as contestants on Bravo's new show Platinum Hit that premieres on May 30. The show follows singer-songwriters as they try to win a $100,000 cash prize, a publishing deal with Sony, and a record deal with RCA/Jive. This sounds awesome, so we'll definitely be following along and rooting for our girls (and voting for them if we are allowed to). This shows sounds super awesome, but there's one dark cloud: the head judge is none other than Kara DioGuardi. Put her out to pasture already.

So join us in rooting for our ladies on Platinum Hit. Hopefully one of them will win the contract and make us proud.

Kara!?!

shock

oh god...she's baaaaack!

Sounds like it's sure to be a train wreck (aka mock-n-laugh fest), however, I'm kind of glad I don't get the Bravo network....

Can't be any worse than Step It Up and Dance. Good on them for getting exposure, even if it means bearing with Dogface again.

Here's a preview of this show that seems like it will be one of those oh the drama typesshock

Jewel hosted Nashville Star one year. Booooooorrrrrrrrring.

PLATINUM HURTS

I don't think getting signed with RCA or Jive is a big treat either. You sign your life away if you win and then you still get screwed.

Totally not watching this thing because of Kara.

As much as I want to see Jackie, it's a dealbreaker.

I made a vow to never allow her on my TV again.

Jewel saying "I could see myself singing that" in that clip is worrying...are they planning to steal the songs from the contestants? It wouldn't surprise me. I agree that all the contestants could use the added exposure/chance at increased name recognition, so I don't suppose it will hurt them much to be on the show. I hope we get to vote, but the majority of Bravo shows are not vote-based ones...well, the ones that have lasted have not been vote-based ones at any rate. And hopefully they will focus on drama with the contestants, not the judges. I have no desire to bust my mute button if Kara is going to be on the screen much.

Powerfox and Ponymane give a tribute to past Idol judges Paula Abdul (yay!) and Kara DioGuardi (really?) with their mashup of "Straight Up" and "Sober".

Back in February our prescient pair were laying the groundwork with this homage to great female reality show judges! Hopefully Kara does not read this site and doesn't punish the darling duo for being supported by VFTW. Also in their February video, Powerfox and Ponymane rock out wearing bikini tops so maybe Bravo will get with it and let the vivacious vixens vamp it up on the show!

Yeah, Kara's not vindictive at all and doesn't carry a grudge. The poor girls are going into the Lions Den, let's Mikalah they survive. I'll be cheering them on, but for a contract with Jive? Roh-roh.
