Quote "GuitarMan": Katies info on ITune downloads brings-up a legitimate question - what is the money distribution between E19 Management Company, ITunes commission to administer the downloads and other charges -- vs. the payout to the singer/artist?? Anyone know the facts on this?? I do know the figures for the AI Top 11 tour, which will pay a minimum estimate of over $50,000 to each contestant now, and the payout on the completion of the recording contract for the winner and Lauren. That had to be approved by a California court since they were minors. They both get paid less than last years top 2. I believe it is fair to compare AI producers to that Don King fellow - balck guy with the unusual hair - who is a boxing promoter. Where he promotes a bout, he winds up getting most of the money, charging the boxess for every possible thing that he can bill, including training facilities, food, etc. Somm of his boxers are broke, and he is wealthy. the argument AI would make is that they provide the publicity for the singers, and the money is not important.

Quote "TheSingularity": Good grief. People watch these shows because they are (sort of) competitions. It's the "competing" that makes it quasi-interesting. Once that is spent, it's time to move on. I like Iron Chef too, but once the cooking is done I switch the channel.
The show would be better if it had stunts like "American Ninja" on G4.

I wish one of the VFTW PTB would post a new story on the front page so that we don't have to see the cuntry kids every time we come to the site.

I was for Scotty all the way and Lauren was my next choice...so I am happy!Scotty will do very well with country and I expect him to follow Carrie's footsteps into the Grand ol opry in the near future. Lauren may also be accepted, wouldn't surprise me. They are both young so time is on their side. Scotty did very well on Itunes and Billboard...more to follow........
