What part of "You can’t put guitars on board anymore" did this no-talent fatass not understand?? I just flew and was quite aware they are no longer letting you take up the whole bin with useless shit like egomaniac Chris Sligh's guitar which is about as useless as it comes considering his albums keep flopping. He can't even outsell Mandisa even though they both started out weighing the same. They should have thrown his fat ugly hairy pieface in jail.

The only part of this story I agree with is how the flight attendant was lying. If he actually threatened to kill the flight attendant, he would have been detained for questioning. TSA does not joke around anymore with stuff like that.
If the airlines are breaking your guitar, buy a better case. Ask around before you get to your next destination if anyone you know could loan you a guitar if it breaks on the flight. Insure it, explain the value to the check-in worker, and hope for the best.

LOL! This is Sligh's version of what transpired! I doubt the attendant claimed he threatened her life. They maybe said he was acting in a threatening manner, but I think him getting kicked off had more to do with non-compliance and acting in a disruptive manner! What a drama queen! He should be happy they didn't tell him to store it up his fat ass!

I can understand his reluctance for not wanting to buy an additional seat for his guitar--that would make it three seats.

Oh, it's soapbox time. This is why I'd go postal (hmmm, wrong profession) if I worked with the airlines. Because people are always trying to get around the rules. Whether it's baggage size, number, or things you simply just can't take on a plane anymore, there's always two to three idiots I see on every flight going, "well let's see if...", "well how about we just try....", "well I do it all the time...". No should mean no. And on the opposite side if airlines would put their foot down and not cave in on case-by-case basis (I saw two people with guitars on the last flight I was on) then you wouldn't have idiots like this arguing with you every time you said no. Soapbox away. Like someone already said, buy a sturdier case. Quote : My name is not all over the internet. Well that's for sure.... Quote : It's on one blogsite that is notorious for hating me during (and after) my time on Idol. That "blogsite" is the only place that's keeping your name in the minds of the current populace or you'd have been totally forgotten a long time ago. So show some love there SideShow Bob.

I agree with one thing: US Airways sucks worse than every other airline (they all suck, but US Airways sucks the mostest). These days, flying is just a PITA: something to be endured rather than enjoyed. The way to peace of mind for me was the following revelation: just accept that they make the rules and the only choices you have are to obey them, find another airline, or not fly at all.
Working for an airline is a crappy job at best these days and you have to understand that the only up-side to a lousy job with low pay is that they have the power to totally screw up your day, should you give them a reason to. If you treat them politely, smile, make eye contact and generally don't behave like an entitled jackass, you will find that, in most cases, they will treat you well. Do the opposite, and they will extract their job-satisfaction for the day from the misery that they inflict upon your sorry behind.
Chris found this out for himself, so hopefully he now realizes these simple facts of life and flying and will just hand over his guitar with a smile and thanks next time.

My guess is that Chris never threatened to kill the flight attendant. The flight attendant probably did not like his attitude and stated that she/he felt “threatened” and then exaggerated the “threat.” The incident then got blown out of proportion from that point on. Just pure speculation on my part but again the flight attendant did not press charges or file a police report on Chris as far as I know. Sorry I don’t believe just anyone just because they are flight attendant. There are good and bad in any profession. video pool
