At the various Idol blogs, Durbin fans are blaming the sound system. But, that clip proves the sound system was fine, the band was fine, Durbin was craptastic.

"BOOOOOO!" I love it. And I love the YouTube comments with all the sniping back and forth between the Turdbin and Madame Glambert fans. When brainless idiots collide...! Why can't anyone besides VFTW figure out that these people are cast adrift to fend for themselves once a season ends? The show has no stake in helping them develop as artists and navigate the minefield of the music industry after it's done with them. It just reloads and gets ready for the next season, where like clockwork the fantards will go ape shit over a fresh batch of flavor-of-the-month wannabes/future "never-was"es. And VFTW will be there to chronicle it all.

im a fat durbin hater and i can admit that the sound for the mic was terrible. This site has gotten shitty now they just say go negative on everything. just like amaro's performance last week, how can you hate that? it's not great art but it was fine.

Even funnier is the Atlanta crowd, or lack of it. Looks like it's about 1/3 full at halftime, kind of like a Braves playoff game.

Exactly right.
These shows - (and X-Fac-turd is no better than I-Dull) - put on like every staged cast member is destined for stardom. But for 90% of them, all they are destined for is being totally forgotten within 6 months.
Honestly - its been what? 10 seasons now for I-Dull? So that's 120? "Finalists" and maybe 10-20 more who got lots of air time but didn't make the top-12?
How many of them can you name? I doubt most people who watch these shows could name more than 10-12. Most of the ones I remember are only memorable because they were VFTW Picks!!!

THIS!!!!!!!!! It's almost as pathetic as the Colts crowd  . On the up side, however, you can score Colts tickets for $5 apiece on Ebay if you want to give someone you dislike a really cheap Christmas present.
