An actual Idol fan's (slightly less biased than VFTW) recap:
Phil Phillips- CCR was a good choice for him, didn't have to stretch his thin boundaries for that one. The second song was great, but I can't see the guy selling records with stuff like that. Really good at what he does, but no versatility.
Hollie- Seriously amazed at this girl. Faithfully was by far her best- personal, emotional, confident...she's great. So talented and peaking at the right time.
Joshua Ledet- For what he does, he's incredible. I just don't enjoy his performances. A little too growly-souly for my liking, but I can see how the gospel folks love him.
Jessica Sanchez- not totally impressed with her first performance, but good God...when this kid hits her notes, she's one of the best singers on Idol EVER. She HAS to win this competition. Hollie really challenged her with that Journey song, but J-Chez took it back tonight.

Phil had a "get me the fuck out of here" look on his face during the Foreigner group suck. Poor Hollie received the biggest felony under-the-bus toss in AI history. She could have sung like Jennifer fucking Warnes and the judges wouldn't have deviated from the script.  could have laid down on the stage and queefed "We Are The World" and the judges would give her a standing O.

Has it escaped everyone's attention that both of Josh's songs tonight were a direct rip-off from The Voice's semi-finals? Hell even Juliet sang Man's World better than Josh. Although it does seem that he tried to use her version... and this kid has "originality"? Bitch, please.

My ears hurt..... since when do you have to come undone on stage to get the appraise.... I couldnt even understand the words Ledet was saying he was so involved in his emotional orgy. Music should make you feel good and that made me want to retch..... Holly has bus prints on her ass and I wanted to bitch slap Jessica when she looked in the camera and said, "I am not going home." yep she knows America doesnt have control over Nigel.... well lets show that cocky twit she isnt in charge. The swing thing was awful when the girls did it and funny as hell when the boys slipped in. Our P2 was great when he was trying to make Ledet lose his cool in the duet... Go Phil

SOOOOO True. LOL. Whether people were bad or good, for weeks, they were ALL told they were the greatest singers on god's green earth. Then, one night, out of the blue, they pick someone to all trash. Unbelievably bullshitty. I can't stand that girl Hollie, she's nothing special, but I actually felt sorry for her...it was like, WTf, why me?

Nothing special? Seriously, that girl can sing. She blew away that Journey song, and she's grown by leaps and bounds the past few weeks. Are you seriously biased enough that you can't recognize Hollie's talent?

I have said since the top 12 that they were eliminating based on fatness, and so far this has proven to be absolutely on the money.
Joshua is next followed by Phillips followed by Hollie.
Trust me. I'm a certified genius who has an uncanny ability to recognize patterns.

#wgwg5 is clearly the worst one left. He even knows it. Idol is clearly trying to ditch him by making him sing first so that everyone forgets. But we won't forget. Just like he slayed the Skylar beast last week, he can slay one of the others this week. We can't be complacent though and watch him get eliminated. He needs our votes because one week of fewer votes is what separates him from his hometown visit in the top 3 and a hometown visit out of the competition. If we can get Phillip to the top 3, the hometown visit will help invigorate his fanbase to vote even more. So we must get him over this hump.
