X Factor Winner Melanie Amaro Sets New World Record!

With The Olympics going on, we're seeing World Records falling everyday. Well, in the spirit of The Games, Melanie Amaro's cover for her first single has also set a new World Record...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

...for most pounds photoshopped out of picture. This is what Melanie really looks like. That's a good 60 pounds chopped out, which breaks Kelly Clarkson's old record of 40.

Here's her new single and Melanie is definitely putting the Fail in Don't Fail Me Now. But one thing that didn't fail during the recording was the autotune machine, which was operating at full power.

This song is just what you expect from the L.A. Reid Pop/Rap auto-tune, voice-shanking compactor. As long as it's candy for the kids, the kids don't care if it's assembly line pop junk.


I don't know who that is in the picture --- and you could hardly recognize Miss Amaro's voice in the song. X-Factor can't expect that to be a good start to sell enough to get their 5 million back. But the Factor gears-up in September, so we'll likely hear that song plenty as they promote it on their show commercials.

Although, honestly, I cannot imagine what kind of music she should make. The type of belting that wins these shows is exactly what people don't buy. If you are going to autotune the winner of your show anyway, you might as well push for someone to win who isn't 60 lbs overweight. I honestly think if Simone (who is very easy on the eyes) won she would outsell Melanie.
