Too lazy to actually go to the American Idol auditions? Did that time when the rabid wildebeest was biting off your hand prevent you from driving to the tryouts? Was the jumbo forklift not available to come in from the skylight to cart you off to fulfill your dreams? Well, never fear! The American Idol auditions for season 12 are not over. Now, if you're not motivated enough to actually leave the house, you can still try out at auditions.americanidol.com up until November 4! Because if we know one thing, it's that people who didn't have enough motivation to try out the first time will definitely make captivating contestants.

So what are you waiting for? It only takes 5 minutes to film yourself in a poorly lit basement singing an Adele song. And those 5 minutes could change your life forever. Think about it. YOU could be the answer to the trivial pursuit question - "Which contestant finished sixth during the forgettable twelfth season of American Idol?" That would so come in handy when you need to win the pink wedge.

Can the ones cut from The Voice just submit those tapes? I imagine the worst contestant on the voice would be better than the best contestant on the Idol show. Not that either will ever sell a single record.

I know the "Why? Factor" rejects need not bother. The winner of Simon's show will not even be good enough to make the hollywood fodder rounds on Idol. Not like that's something to put on your resume.

Looking on the positive side, maybe the world will end on Dec 22, and Idol will never air. Keep your fingers crossed!

Wait, a dozen of cattle calls and they couldn't find one single WGWG who can sing (more or less)?

Is every unemployed singer too busy auditioning for The Voice or X-Factor? Laugh

Even a great home video sent online to Idol won't mean much unless you also have a back-story that they can run to draw tears or cheers or jeers or play-upon the nerves of the unsuspecting viewer.

Other ways to get-in, are previous Hollywood or boot-camp with Idol, or having won another regional singing contest, or been cut by a previous label and have no current contract that could get Idol sued.

If you have an album already out, that's not a problem - as long as you can void any contract before Idol gets far with you.

You don't have to be a great, great singer, but must fit-in to a "casting" slot that the producers want to throw-in to the show. Many really good singers have been told "you're not what we're looking for this year", in the first or second pre-audition try-out.

In this chess game, the contestants are the pawns, the Judges are the Knights and Rooks - the script writers are the Bishops and the Producers behind the scenes are the King and Queen.

There will be a Plant or three in there, a la Jackie Evancho.

Yeah, that's true - 3 or so plants that they might have been interested in signing and trying to promote.

-- use the show for promotion and exposure, remind the Judges about who signs their paycheck and put a note on their desk when the formality of the audition is done.

Then have them slipped through Hollywood, Vegas and if they don't happen to get through the top 24 live voting which cuts-down to 10, leave an extra choice for the Judges to select regardless. Then have a "save" in reserve just in case.

Seed the field with some fodder with a famous name connection, some teen bait and some fair singers who are unmarketable. A great formula. Now they have to hope Nicki doesn't mess it up.

Now that the Minaj-a-troi and Scary drama has diminished a bit, it's time to address the returners; who chose them? That David Leathers kid absolutely makes me want to gag and Colton's sister has been on 2-3 times already, give some other loser a chance! I can't imagine some of these kids subjecting themselves to the degradation that is American Idle more than once. Freaking masochistic fame-whores! That and a quarter won't even get you a cup of coffee, dumbasses..Barf

I'll say what I said on Facebook, I am kinda good looking who can kinda sing and I have a sob story.

Since Idol producers check this site just know that my sob story could make us millions!

The singing audition must be a capella. That means I can still sit on a stool with a guitar on my lap and make sure they know I'm a WGWG. Tempting. drevil
