VFTW's #wgwg5 Phillip Phillips recently did an interview with Canada's MuchMusic (full video here) and he demonstrated all the qualities that VFTW loves about him! Some highlights:
-he doesn’t plan on watching the new season of American Idol.
-Phillip puts on his version of a Canadian accent to tease the crowd.
-even though his song, “Home” is featured in a Tim Horton’s ad, he’d never heard of the Canadian coffee and doughnut shop.
-Phil’s had people he doesn’t know come up to him and claim to be distantly related. ”I might have a creepy family,” says Phillip.
-According to Phillip, the only reason the paps follow him is because he is “weird looking.”
-A true WGWG–Phillip loves his guitar and takes it with him everywhere.
-Phillip likes to call Ryan Seacrest “Little Ryan”.
-When the interviewer brings up the White Guy With Guitar thing, Phillip says, “It’s true….I am a white guy and I do play guitar.” Afterward, the interviewer presents Phillip with a t shirt with #WGGN1S emblazoned on the front and encourages his fans across the world to trend it. The letters stand for “White Guy With a Number 1 Single.” Phillip has no plans to wear it. Ever!

Thank God. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
It's good to see that he isn't taking himself too seriously and is just having fun with things. Pretty much every Idol contestant ever can learn something from that.

Kid has the right attitude. I like the comment about his family, they do seem very creepy. It's not his fault he was born in some backwater place he doesn't seem to belong too.

Honestly speaking, this interview makes me HATE PP even more. I couldn't find one funny thing, and I tried. PP is my least favourite, and definately the least talented between all five WGWG. He is the worst of the bunch. Even from Idol shitty standard, PP is too bland, boring, creepy, no star quality, zero talent, no originality, shitty voice, mediocre guiter playing, ugly as fuck and every fucking song he sings sounds the same. Who would even waste time interviewing some creepy slacker dude from AI. Where did all the relevant celebrities go, huh? PERSONALLY I prefer LEE DEwYZE out of all five.

If PP is not interested in watching Idol this year, that must be a shock to Mariah and Nickie, who came-in with a big price-tags to be the stars leading new stars to stardom.
Spoilers show about 15 former idol wannabe's have made it past the auditions this year as well. The producers want a certain "cast" to be put together for the live shows, and the official Judges only see a very small percentage of the actual people that audition. There will be notes from producers on the Judges table that "help" them make decisions, and certain ones will get extra camera time.
Side-bets could be made on how many names Randy will drop and how many mentions of Mariah's diva accomplishments will be made. Nickie will wear various hair colors and outfits, Randy will declare that most of the cast can sing the phone book. New songs will happen to be released by the 3 singing Judges during the season, all will be #1 on I-tunes for a day or two.
The manipulation factor will be so well disguised that one would dare not say it's rigged for a certain 3 or 4 "persons of Label/signing interest" to rise to the upper levels of the competition.
