With reports from the annual Idol "Boot camp" along with the 1st and 2nd levels of the try-outs reviewed by producers before they see the Judges, the Judges have a lot of producer notes to read and some acting to do as they "find" a new talent.
14 or 15 Idol re-entries, such as previously been to some level of status on the show, sometimes Hollywood or Vegas, have already been slipped into the top 40.
Fox has been trying harder to sell the show this year, with many commercials and the "special previews" run in certain areas of the Country. Last year's long, drawn-out audition phase got boring for a lot of people and they phased-out of interest in the show, along with getting bored with Tyler and had their fill of Lopez and Jackson.
There will be 3 or 4 hopefuls "of signing interest" that will be brought into the top 12/13, along with some weaker talent expected to entertain a bit -- but then wither against the fav's - unless you, the voters, mess things up by getting a plant eliminated too early ..... in which case, the Judges will have a "save" -- to get things straightened-out and give the chosen ones more positive camera and story time.

I bumped into a guy that said his nephew was getting a "producers pick" on to the show. He showed me the picture of his ivory white nephew playing a guitar. I'll keep my eye out for him.....in the finals!

Notice how Randydawg specifically goes on about how talented the girls are this year. ( ha right) We have a lot of work to do if we want to defeat their chosen female winner. Luckily we have the frau nation on our side.
And Mooriah...your jugs aren't supposed to hang near your waist. Nice 80s bridesmaid's dress. When Nicki Minaj looks more pulled together than you do, you know that's bad.
