Good job Dave. It's been fun, but not nearly as much fun the past couple of years. Cannot remember the last time I watched, but I did vote. Maybe I'll actually watch this year, although I doubt it. Everyone will be missed.

I'm sorry to see you guys go! This site has made it much more fun to watch the show over the past several years, and VFTW will definitely be missed!

As a self-confessed TV ratings nerd, I do have to respectfully disagree with your comment that "Idol doesn't have a quarter of the audience it once had." Last year it averaged about 20 million viewers, ranking as the #2 show on television, behind only Sunday Night Football. Idol's most-watched season ever averaged about 30 million, so while it's lost a lot of viewers, clearly it's remained very popular.

Also, Phillip Phillips' debut single "Home" still ranks in the iTunes top 10 several months after it was released, which shows Idol is still capable of creating a successful artist. IMO, this just proves that VFTW's mission isn't complete, and you guys shouldn't shut down yet!

Not to be a giant cheeseball but this site kind of changed my life. I met so many friends and learned so many new terms (my mind still changes "excitement" to "excrement";) and I'm sorry to see it go, but like Dave said, no one cares about AI anymore, so VFTW Victory.

I'm hoping someone will come up with a message board where we can all still talk!

This.

Thanks for everything, Dave. Unlike AI and the other karaoke shows, VFTW is going out while still relevant, having been in the news for the creation of the "WGWG" phenomenon, and VFTW also got a lot of online media coverage during the last season of X Factor. I wish I had found this site a couple of years earlier. Paula

Hi Chile!!! Chile :)

WGWG6 will be a great way to go out. As much as a trainwreck AI12 is going to be. Good we don't have to deal with X Factor 3 . When you're gone, I'll do my best to vote for the worst on X Factor 3 and American Idol 13 (If that actually happens). When I crown WGWG2 on X Factor and WGWG7 ON AI13. I'll always remember to say. VFTW Victory

I have had six of the most wonderful years on this site. It appears that I have made close to 80 friends from being on VFTW, either directly or indirectly. VFTW will go down as one of the great memories in my life.

But...it's time.

I am particularly touched by your sentiment, Chile...thanks for the memories! <3

Quick, someone play that shitty Green Day song.

Well Dave & Co., this was an amazing site and a great way to spend my bored high school/college evenings. Thanks for the laughs and the mammaries.

Very sad news, Dave. Understandable, though.

Thanks to Women's Gymnastics. Laugh If it hadn't been for The Olympics, Phillip would be working at McDonald's right now.

Aw, dang it! I am sad but understand it had to end some day.

I, too, have learned a lot of valuable and even more not-so-valuable shit here!

I will definitely need to find a suitable message board to attempt to replace this site (impossible, I know) so I can release my angst toward stupid TV shows.

Thanks for all the great times!Clap
