Yeehaw! I'm proud to be an American after that performance! In this post-9/11 world, we Americans need that daily affirmation that we are indeed the awesomest country in the world, and we could have no better spokesperson than Kristy Lee Cook! Speaking of 9/11, did anyone else notice that Chikeze was born on 9/11? Also, he's Nigerian. Now I don't mean to imply that he's a terrorist or anything, but I think he might be a terrorist or something. Not to worry, Kristy's performance will shine a bright ray of freedom that will convert the terrorist hearts of all evildoers into flag-waving, WalMart-shopping, freedom-loving Americans just like me! God bless the US of fuckin' A! Damn, almost spilled my beer typin' that out.

Team America, F#ck Yeah! March 25, 2008: Randy Jackson disses on Carlyplant. Which would have been amazing had he not first crapped all over Pots-n-Pans, stating that her version of Heart sucked in comparison to ... Carlyplant. Nice to see the judges haven't toned down the hyperbole. Then again, "That was your best performance so far" is a pretty left-handed compliment when you think how badly this most talented ever group has stunk it up each week.

This just in: peace spreads through the Middle East as Kristy Lee Cook's song of patriotism converts even the most Islamic of hearts...

Didn't that performance make you want to run out and enlist? C'mon, you know you do. Don't lie to yourself.

Wow, I really didn't like this song before hand and that didn't help. Bleech. Someone needs to clean out Simon's ears or something.

Meanwhile I got 200 votes in so far for her, boy this night was a surprise. Taking some of my favorites songs and just killing them. Even David Archuleta who now has been dethrowned now by David Cook according to dialidol did Horrible. How could anyone listen to idol tonight wihthout throwing up? The key word is Cruiseship Karaoke. You should trust me. Tonight is proof that this top ten is not the "BEST" ever. My wife who said that Sanjaya vocally sang better than all the contestants tonight, and that is saying alot from her. Though I think Sanjaya could go all the way this this group with his performances alone. There is no comparing. Im proud of our KKK, even though i think she was trying to fight the imag of the confederate flag with the American flag, but oh well, we still love her.

I dig me some David Cook, but I'd be a helluva lot more impressed if he wasn't ripping off other people's arrangements of popular songs and trying to pawn them off as his own. Check out this Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) acoustic version of "Billie Jean" from 2006. Sound familiar?: http://ryanssmashinglife.blogspot.com/2007/12/chris-cornells-landmark-acoustic-show.html Kristy Lee Cook is purty, but she needs to go. A giant Acme anvil should fall from the sky and obliterate her into a million sticky pieces for singing that awful, hackneyed song.

David Cook is ripping off other people's arrangements,, and America believes it is his "genius" and that he's so original. That isn't fair to other contestants who really are defining a style by their own and not ripping off other people.
