This is wonderful, Dave! I just contributed!

I lost my Dad to cancer, so this worthy cause has personal meaning to me.

I can't express enough how great this is! I hope you reach your goal!!!

Rock on!

The reason behind the CFC was to put all the "solicitations" into a yearly drive, instead of each org hitting us up throughout the year.

The book they hand out (listing of people to give to) usually runs about 20 pages or so. They include a lot of orgs that you probably wouldn't have heard of normally.

So yes, I gave at the office.

If the rest of you haven't given yet, please consider a small donation...

VFTW Gives Head j/k !!! VFTW Gives Hope; hope to family and friends of each of it's members that may be struggling with cancer. I lost a good friend when I was 12 to cancer, my aunt too, now my cousin has cancer. So many people need to know you care. If you know someone struggling with cancer, call them up or visit them just out of the blue, give them a smile and a sympathic ear. They will apprieciate that just as much as a donation for a cure. I will donate today, just as soon as my husband wakes up and gives me the card.

Thanks Dave for doing this, and thanks to everyone for your support!!

VFTW Victory!! :)

Dave, it's great that you're using the resources you have (VFTW) to reach out and appeal to so many for such a worthy cause. I also participate in a local RFL here in Michigan, since I lost my dad to cancer 2 1/2 years ago. I don't have the ability to reach as many people and raise as much money as you surely will, but every bit counts! Thanks for doing this! It's a nice break from CRUSHING DREAMZ!!!!!11!!!

I noticed that your RFL event is a mere 2 weeks before I'll be in Chicagoland for a wedding. If it was the same weekend, I'd definitely crash your relay and throw some money the way of any fundraising schemes that are going on. It's fun to see what people come up with to add to the money they've already raised prior to the event. I'm on a team for a comic/hobby shop, and we're going to have a gaming tent. There's a homeschoolers team that always sells embellished flip-flops and they make a lot of money on that. Good times. I love the relay, it's a really great fundraiser.

Hmm, do I see the makings of a new website?

Seriously, though, way to put your money where your mouth is. Good job.

You know you can give at the office AND through this site :)

It is great you give through your employer. But this is also about giving through a wonderful website to support their name and cause as well as the American Cancer Society. Yes, I realize that your donation does not help VFTW financially, but it shows what respectful members they have etc.

As someone else said in another post - it's just good karma!

On that note, I hope you win the wii- they are awesome!

...Stepping out of character for a moment....

I'm a 9 1/2 year survivor of non-hodgkins lymphoma. My first Relay For Life was in May 1999. I got to lead the Survivor's Walk, bald head and all! I've been cancer-free since July 1999! I go to Relay For Life every year with my survivor buddies to celebrate life and thank the community for helping us find a cure. My cancer was once considered terminal -- now, thanks to research, it's treatable and we have a fighting chance! Thank you, VFTW, for supporting RFL! Y'ALL ROCK!!!
