Proof that Simon is by far the best judge on the panel. He makes the other two look like semi-retarded buffoons. Oh wait.... nevermind. They ARE semi-retarded buffoons.

Every time someone brings up the stage dad, it makes me feel bad for the kid. Please stop, I think I'm falling for him.

Yeah, he's definitely the most coherent out of the three.

God, this man is so full of shit. At least with Randy and Paula, you get the sense that they are saying what they really believe. Their answers are incredibly stupid because they themselves are incredibly fucking stupid. Simon, on the other hand, is a bullshit artist. He praises his favorites no matter how bad or boring they are. He's been all over Archuleta's jock this season, and he has praised some of Castro's more mediocre performance (Jeff Buckley this kid ain't). And if he shotguns out a few "It was all very karaoke/cabaret" comments or "I felt like I was on a cruise ship" snipes, he's liable to hit the mark occasionally, so America says, "Oh, I like Simon, he's the only one who tells the truth." Wrong. He's the only one who lies. Randy's too much of a moron and Paula's too whacked out on painkillers to make anything up. How can Simon make a statement like the one above but then dole out undeserved praise to the same contestants each week?

Aside from his blatant shilling for pimpchalletta, Simon is the only judge whose even remotely coherent or honest.

Except when he praises (or at least doesn't trash) a contestant, the next night they are in the bottom 3, and Simon always says, "America got in right."

There must be some mistake. Ryan told us this was the Most Talented Top 24 Ever. Somebody's not telling the truth here. I can't help but feel like I've been deceived by this show. Why would they lie to us?

Well, what do you expect?? They kicked off the only two that had any personality - Danny and Amanda.

Scott: Good post. I think Simon has it tough. He's the only one on the panel who even comes close to being the conscience of the normal viewer, and he knows it (Paula is just a bubblebrain and basically likes everything because she lacks any capacity for discernment, and Randy is like some obsessive–compulsive matzo-head with all his "dawg"-"hot"-"just awrite"-"pitchy" nonsense and he doesn't seem to even know what he likes). Simon does have a tendency toward bullshit, but he has to pretty much carry the other 2 and it's a struggle sometimes. Besides, there are only so many ways you can say "you sucked" with a witty analogy. I don't really get the feeling he's being purposely deceptive (although he is human and sometimes he just gets it wrong), but you may be right. I'll have to pay closer attention. Again, good post.
