Brooke: “I Am … I Said” and “I’m a Believer” Is that the name of a Neil Diamond song, or the sound of Brooke having to stop and start over again? Zing! That said, do we really have to sit through two songs apiece now? And on Neil Diamond night? Fuck, I'm gonna have to get really drunk tonight. Like more drunk than usual, even. And fuck young Mr. Archuleta for stealing Kristy Lee Cooke's pick for this week! Only she could have done that song true justice.

And of course her second tune would have been "Kentucky Woman." Because she's totally from the South (of Oregon).

And WHY oh WHY is NO ONE doing Neil's "E.T."-inspired schlock-fest "Heart-Light"??!??!?! OR, better STILL, they could combine Broadway week from last week with THIS week and do Neil's version of "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables (oh yes, Neil took his wavery-diaphragm vocals to that song, too). *sigh* So much potential wasted... love, J-Mo

Ha! I called that Archie would sing "america"! Yay me! It's just too much of an olympic feel-good anthem for him not to choose. I am very surprised he isn't doing "Heartlight" which seems to be a tailor made song for him, I had predicted him to sing that as well. The girls in the audience will go to town on the "oh, oh, oh"s which could very well really mess him up. He will be bottom three for sure with these two song choices! Looking forward to Jason's "Forever in Bluejeans", that's my favorite Neil song and I am interested to see if he can do well with it. His style seems to fit the song. I hope I am happy at the end of his performance. Both Brooke's choices should be comedy gold. Tonight may the the can't miss show of the season!

To be fair, or at least just accurate, Brooke didn't forget the lyrics; she just freaked out :-p. Anyway, I'm still gonna tough it out, though nobody entertains me at all except David Cook, and I guess Syesha with her Broadway performance. She's a model a'ight, damn. Anyway, since I've listened to Neil Diamond slightly more than Randy Jackson has ever heard Chris Cornell, I'm gonna have to listen to his music on, where the hell else, itunes.

...and then could she finish it off with "Love On Your Rocks"? That would be awesome... love, J-Mo

I still would have preferred if Smithson lasted another week, just for the possibility of her singing WE'RE COMING TO AMERICA! lulz

Jason might do something interesting with "Forever In Blue Jeans", but he can't outdo Jacob Hoggard's audition version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWzta1IB2_Y Now there was a guy who knew how not to take an Idol show seriously and did well as a result!

I knew Archie boy would sing either "America" or "Heartlight." Thank God he chose the former because there's no way I could sit through that damn E.T. song. Maaaaan..."Thank The Lord for the Night Time" is one of my Neil faves. Syesha is gonna jack that shit up.
